About this cabin rental

Nestled in Estes Park, this charming cabin for $93 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Relax in Elk Run Cabin, a vintage-inspired lofted cabin with incredible mountain views minutes from Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park (County STR Permit 20-NCD0222). The home has two bedrooms attached to a living and dining area, plus a lofted game and TV room at the top of a spiral staircase. . + 5 mins to National Park. + 600 Mbps Internet for staycations, washer/dryer, stocked kitchen, sleeps 6. Small footprint at 672 s/f, but high on amenities and useable space. Note that two other vacation rentals sit on my 1 acre property. Real quick, some house rules (sorry it's no fun, but please read!!) + The property is more than an acre and there are three short term rentals on it. You will have neighbors, but this home is all yours (and the fence separates the spaces) + Understand that parts of the yard are recovering from machinery used to install a new privacy fence. A larger landscaping project will happen in mid-June (calendar will be closed) + No early check in or late checkouts. + Check in is 4pm or later; check out is 10am or earlier. + No smoking inside or out; no fire pits; no parties; no pets. + 2 cars & 6 guests max per legal limit. + At checkout, you must do dishes and start a load of towels/hand towels/washcloths (we have negotiated a lower cleaning fee based on this). + No cable -- bring your own streaming accounts for the smart TV. Onward! Thanks for checking the Elk Run Cabin, with views off the deck of Prospect Mountain and Twin Sisters Peaks. My cabin is on a unique property with two other short term rentals: Alpine Garden, an original 1927 home that used to sit inside Rocky Mountain National Park; and Hummingbird Cabin, a virtual twin of Elk Run but facing the opposite direction. All rentals are separate, individual buildings with separated parking and living spaces. Elk Run was built in 2017, but takes inspiration from historic western design; an original wagon wheel chandelier hangs down from a lofted ceiling, but it's got smart TVs, high speed internet, endless on-demand hot water, and much more. The home is seconds away from the best restaurant in Estes (Bird and Jim!!) and my favorite local supermarket, plus it's on the western edge of town so you don't have to brave downtown traffic to get into the National Park. This is a brand new listing for me, but I am a long time Superhost with nearly 1700 rave reviews at my other places. Past guests at my other listing have written: "... communication with Nathan was very clear and responsive!" "... Beautifully decorated with Nathan's personal touches and his photography captures his passion for nature and breathtaking scenery!" "... The communication with Nathan was great and everything was wonderful.." "... Really cool experience and great customer service from Nathan and team." ***** IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE ***** My 1-acre property has three short term rentals on it: this home and two other cabins. Each one has its own private parking and living spaces; the only shared area is the driveway. Guests must be respectful of the parking and noise situations. If you are looking for isolation in the woods, this is not your best bet. ********************************************* BEDROOMS The home has two bedrooms and has a maximum legal occupancy of six. Bedroom 1 & 2 - The two bedrooms are on the first floor and are nearly mirror images of each other. They feature queen beds and an armoire with drawers and hangars for clothes storage. Additional Sleeping: Additional guests can crash on the full size sofa bed/futon in the living room. BATHROOMS Bathroom - An efficiency bathroom with a shower, vanity and toilet. LIVING & ENTERTAINMENT Living & Game Rooms - Enjoy games and movies on your own streaming accounts with a smart Roku TV, or head upstairs to the lofted TV room and have fun with the retro Sega Genesis console loaded with retro games from the past. WiFi - My entire property now has a strong mesh WiFi network with no dead zones. A 600Mbps connection will allow you to stream and work. LAUNDRY, COOKING, DINING Kitchen - The kitchen is fully featured with a coffee machine, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, stove, dishwasher, pots/pans, cutlery, and much more to cook just about anything. Dining Area - A small dining table comfortably seats four; you can squeeze in 6 with a few additional chairs elsewhere in the home. Laundry - Feel free to use the washer and dryer in the kitchen. ESTES PARK'S MANY AWARDS Estes has become an awesome year-round destination over the last five years. In fact, a few years ago the town was named to more than 50 lists of Best, Favorite and Top Destinations. Here are a select few: - Best Mountain Town - Sunset Magazine - Top-Rated Vacation Destinations in North America - Expedia - America's Most Scenic Roads - Travel + Leisure Magazine - Top 20 Mountain Trips - Sunset Magazine - America's 15 Most Romantic Cities for Winter Travel - Trip Advisor - 10 U.S. Places To Travel Before They Get Famous - Huffington Post - The Ten Most Beautiful Towns in CO - TheCultureTrip.com - The Most Romantic Weekend Getaway in Every State - Thrillist.com - 50 Small Towns Across America with the Most Beautiful Fall Foliage - Country Living - The 15 Most Beautiful Spots in CO - TheCrazyTourist.com - Best Towns in Colorado - Niche - Top 10 Adult Spring Break Destinations in America Revealed - World Property Journal Here's what National Geographic Magazine wrote out our little slice of paradise: "Rising up along the Continental Divide, Rocky Mountain National Park is a natural overachiever, with 77 mountains above 12,000 feet—including 14,259-foot Longs Peak—and a span of alpine tundra. Snow-packed granite peaks tower over a calm of ponderosa pines, which ease toward meadow and meandering stream—four ecosystems within one park. It’d be simple to cover them all on a drive along scenic Trail Ridge Road, but why not channel Enos Mills and hike some of the 355 miles of trails instead? You might hear elk bugling or spy otters swimming among lily pads." This is a fully furnished, private home. You have full access to: + 2 bedrooms + 1 bathrooms + private parking + deck and outdoor dining area + kitchen/dining/living area I own a small rental management company in town and have a great team of house managers, so either myself or one of them will be readily available to answer any and all questions. My neighborhood is a typical Estes Park rural residential neighborhood, where you can see mountains all around but there are also neighbors. My property is a little over an acre and this unit has an effective privacy fence so all the outdoor area feels private and "all yours." There are neighbors and I ask that guest are respectful of them, self-monitor their noise levels, and do not trespass on their land. This property is about a 15 minute walk to the Country Super Market (downhill there, uphill back), where you can hop on the free summer shuttle bus that goes all over Estes Park and takes you to the Rocky Mountain National Park visitor center, and from there you can hop on a shuttle that goes into the National Park. However, you really need to have your own car when visiting Estes Park. There are not reliable Ubers/Lyfts and the taxis are few and far between. NOISE Events, loud music and noises, and parties are strictly prohibited. Please be respectful of your noise level so I can maintain good relationships with my neighbors. Note that my property has two other short term rentals on it; treat our neighbors like you'd want to be treated. The house will likely be equipped with NoiseAware or Minut when you arrive, which measures sound levels and alerts us if things are too loud so I can give you a heads up. It does not record content, it only measures decibel levels so your privacy is 100% guaranteed. Guests are not to unplug it (we will also be alerted if that happens). NONPAYING GUESTS Insurance requires that nonpaying and non-registered guests are not allowed on property. AIR CONDITIONER Estes has a mild mountain climate in the summers but from time to time it can get hot. Like nearly every other home in town, there’s no A/C. The cool evening breeze will cool the home down quickly.

We loved the location of this property. Close to the entrance of RMNP and close to all the shops and dining in Estes, but out and away so you felt a little more secluded. Communication was excellent. We came in late at night, so the clear instructions we were given about how to access the cabin was extremely helpful. The cabin itself was very nice, clean, and well maintained. Absolutely no complaints and if/when we come to Estes again, we will definitely want to stay here.
