My family had a wonderful time at the Blackrock Beach House, which is located in a private residential neighborhood with private access to the beach. The house was well stocked for all our kitchen, dining, and bedding needs. There were board games and sand toys for the kids, as well as bikes for the children and adults. The hot tub was very relaxing and well maintained. We look forward to returning to the Blackrock Beach House for our next family reunion.

The house was easy to find and easy to use. It was clean smelling and most items were sufficiently stocked but a few things could be improved. The location is under the flight path for Santa Barbara Airport. The beach is close but access could be difficult for old persons or young children because the path is rather steep. We enjoyed ourselves and the nice homes in the area although there is room for improvement at the actual house.

We traveled to Santa Barbara as part of our family vacation. We were a group of 9 adults. The home had plenty of room for all of us to spread out- both inside and outside. The beds were super comfortable. The location is close to the beach and bluff walk path. It’s also near the biking/running path. There are bikes available for use which was fun for our group. Check in was a breeze! Lucas readily responded to messages. He even sent a message asking if we were settled in and inquired if we needed anything. The bath towels are not very absorbent, but that wasn’t a huge deal. An extra hair dryer would be a nice addition too as there was only one. Again… not a big deal, but would’ve helped when we were all getting ready in the mornings. We have used VRBO many times and this home was one of our favorites! I would highly recommend staying here. I hope that we get the opportunity to return!!

This property is so nice looking on the listing and when you first go in. As you settle in you start to notice the stains and how dingy it's becoming. It's such a bummer that people do not take care of rentals. I would highly suggest that this property go through everything and make sure it's updated. It's a lot of money for broken down items in the kitchen and stained carpets. Also, the towels provided are so weird. They look pretty, but they are rough and not absorbant. kinda a bummer. Finally, the beds are so uncomfortable. Ugh! We all complained about having headaches due to the sagging beds and huge pillows. So uncomfortable. These are all easy fixes to make this place amazing. Hopefully, for your visit, they will fix these things. Then I think you will be very pleased.

We stayed here with our whole family for our elopement weekend and can’t have enough great things to say about our stay. From the beginning communication and check in was easy and quick. The house was very clean and so cute! Seems that the owners really take pride in the home, deservingly so. We had 3 young kids and the backyard was perfect for them to play and ride their scooters! The neighborhood was so amazing. Quiet, small and so so close to the amazing private beach. We can’t wait to come stay here again!
