It's the best of all worlds here - the ocean beach right down the road and spectacular riverfront sunsets to welcome you home. Uniquely outfitted for a large group or an extended family, this home is spread out across three levels of living space. The main living area is on the middle floor, where you'll find gorgeous views of the neighboring river and wetlands. The living room has plush sofas, the adjacent dining table has seating for six, and the breakfast bar accommodates five more. The open kitchen offers ample cabinet and prep space, as well as every essential appliance at mealtime. You can spend your mornings taking out one of the provided kayaks or savoring a mug of coffee on one of the two decks - one on the main floor overlooking the marsh and the other upstairs with a view of the ocean. There's also a gas grill, al fresco seating on the deck, and a washer/dryer to welcome you home from the beach each afternoon. At night, you can gather for a Netflix movie in either the TV room upstairs (with a minifridge to store your cold drinks) or the den downstairs (with a full-size refrigerator), or retire to the home office to return emails over the high-speed WiFi. When it's time to turn in, you'll find four bedrooms on the main floor - three of which include an en suite bathroom. The other two bedrooms are downstairs. Full kitchen on the main floor, full-size refrigerator on the lower level, minifridge upstairs Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles. Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. This technology is privacy compliant, and only monitors the presence of decibels and devices-not any personal conversation or information. Thank you for supporting our efforts to be good neighbors! Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Our group of 7 women traveled to the area for Christmas by the Sea. This house was perfect for our needs. It had plenty of space, a well-stocked kitchen and incredible views. We could walk to the beach in a couple of minutes. The house has multiple gathering areas, making it an excellent choice for families or groups of friends. We hope to return in the future!

We liked the bedroom configuration and the upstairs movie room. The kitchen was adequately stocked. It was nice to have lots of bathrooms. The location was really great - access to the beach was about two minutes and the marsh views were really nice. It was quiet - very few cars. However, I would imagine in the summer it would be really busy as the parking lot is right across the way.

The house was great, beautiful views, lots of amenities and room. The beach was just steps away, clean and not very crowded (at least in the latter part of June). Just make sure you have your own transportation! We were not aware of this. We arrived by train on Father’s Day and had to walk three miles with our luggage to the house. There was a bus from the train station but it only went to Hanneford plaza, which was about 3 miles from the house. There were no taxis or Uber/Lyft that would come drive us. The nearest car rental places were in New Hampshire or Portland, ME and they didn’t have vehicles available. Apparently there used to be a trolley but they can’t find drivers to do the route.

This home was just perfect for 4 couples or more. The home was well equipped with everything that we needed. We especially liked the kitchen area where we could cook, enjoy socializing, play cards and enjoy the view. Although we could not use the deck due to the weather, it would have been perfect in the warmer months. Parking was spacious and check in easy. This home will be one that we visit again!

Had a fabulous 5 day stay!! The amenities the house had was far beyond what was expected! More than enough space for 12 people, abundance of kitchenware, sheets, pillows and extra blankets! No need to pack anything for the beach, as there was about 15 beach chairs, toys umbrellas, kites, tubes and much more!

it's a beautiful property nestled between the main beach and the river. you truly have the best of both worlds. if you are looking for outdoor activity you can paddle the river, or you can sit and plunk your a... in the sand and marvel at the atlantic. This is a home set up to entertain large groups, but also offers each guest/couple/family their own a well appointed private area. We had 12 adults at one point staying over and no one felt cramped. The space was immaculate, and well appointed. We spent long hours sitting on the back deck enjoying the river view with plenty of waterfowl. Taking food off the grill directly into the kitchen and prep area was perfect. For those with orthopedic issues, the ground floor level offers it's own entertainment and kitchen area, with a short flight of stairs up the the main level. Having an upper level with a balcony was great for the night owls, and having a small kitchen there spared going up and down for drinks and snacks.

We loved our stay at the Family Beach Retreat! After visiting the area for the last 30+ years, this has become our favorite location. Having the beach steps away , and the marsh to explore in the back yard, it was a perfect location for our crew which included 6 children 9 and under. Plenty of room to spread out & loved the abundance of bathrooms. House could use a couple of updates, however, we would absolutely rent from here again!

Fabulous..12 of us..age 6 to 70… The beach..the beautiful marsh sides..enjoying the deck and even the fishing . Quality bedding and furnishings. Abundance of beach supplies.would have been great if there had been twin beds for the children but not a deal breaker… Great great vacation

If you want space to spread out, and the best of both worlds then this house is for you! This 6 bedroom/5 bath home is located directly on the river, perfect for Kayaking and paddleboarding. It is just steps away from the Ocean, which you can see from the upstairs deck off the expansive family room. The house is fully equipped , including 4 refrigerators. The large deck on the main level overlooks the river and hosts a 6 person table and barbecue grill. The main level boasts 4 bedrooms, 3 of which are en suites. The lower level is its own apartment with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, living room and kitchenette. Such an incredible find! We will be back next year!
