Travel back in time in this former quirky student rental home that has been restored to it's 1913 historic Queen Anne Victorian glory near Olympia Park in Columbia, SC. Check out the original bead board walls and 11' high ceilings along with the heart pine floors. Modern amenities include a renovated galley kitchen, two new bathrooms with laundry, four dramatic queen size bedrooms, and a living and dining room. Enjoy the covered front porch, off-street parking, fenced-in back yard and location! The house has many of the historic quirks and features (including limited closet space) with painted bead board walls, 11' ceilings, and original heart pine floors. This home is perfect for a group traveling to Columbia for a function at USC (6 mins to The Horseshoe), Fort Jackson graduation (15 mins to Visitor's Center), 701 Whaley event (1 minute), William's Brice or the State Fair Grounds (3 minutes), Founder's Park (2 minutes), or downtown to The Statehouse (6 minutes). My husband David and I are available by text, phone or email throughout your stay. We do our best to answer questions quickly and resolve any issues as soon as possible. We care about our guests and want to do our best to provide a seamless and carefree stay for everyone! The house is within a few minutes walk of Olympia Park (check it out on Maps) and is in an older established neighborhood with a mix of permanent residents and student rental homes. The majority of the homes in this area are older early 1900s built structures, some have deferred maintenance but the neighborhood overall is quiet and peaceful. You may hear the horns of the nearby CSX railway throughout the day outside but minimally inside of the home. The historic Olympia and Granby Mills are down the street and have been repurposed as student housing. Vehicle is the dominant mode of transportation in Columbia, but most things are within a few minutes ride away from the home. A taxi service, Uber or Lyft are excellent options for private transportation. Permit # STRN-003914-08-2023

Wonderful old historical home with all the current needs. Perfect for multiple family members to stay together. Close to USC, downtown and highway access. Host communication was fantastic throughout booking, during the stay and follow-up after check out.

Wonderful, clean property and very convenient location to visit our kiddo at UofSC. We all had our own space with room to bring dinner in and enjoy it as a family. The white noise machines were a very nice touch. We look forward to returning!

Such a cute home! Very comfy and cozy feeling, very clean feeling home! The weather was cold and rainy for our stay and this home held the heat great but is a little dry which is expected with an older home, the fans help with that though! Water pressure and temperature were great, my mother in law and I were able to shower at the same time and were both happy with our shower. The only thing that would have been nice were bathroom rugs but we had extra shower towels so we were able to put one of those on the floor. There was not a bath tub but we were able to bathe our son in the kitchen sink who is one and he loved everything about it. Easy to get in and out of the home. The driveway has plenty of room for at least two vehicles if not three. Convenient location to many of restaurants, grocery stores and shopping. We were able to have a grocery ordered delivered a little after 9 and a doordash order delivered a little after 10. Highly recommend this location, we will be staying here again!

We had a good visit but one toilet backed up and the plumber couldn’t come til after we left. I asked for a partial refund but never heard back. 1 toilet for 8 people was a strain.
