Located in Mission Beach, this charming condo for $229 per night is a great option for your next trip. Contemporary Ocean Front beauty. Managed by seasoned 5 star property host. Ground floor condo elevated above the Mission Beach boardwalk. Step right out onto your patio lounge above the boardwalk. Sleeps up to 9 comfortably in two large bedrooms and living room (or up to 10 with kids). Includes 5 beds and a sleeper sofa. Each bedroom has its own private full bathroom. The condo was just filled with new furnishings. Easily accessible by family of all ages. Main entrance with no stairs. Beach entrance with just a couple stairs. Granite countertops, stainless steel appliances. Short walking distance to all the action yet well buffered from it. Two to three minute stroll along the boardwalk to Belmont park and all the eateries/restaurants, but private, quiet, peaceful and luminescent. Perfect location to the beach and within 5 min driving distance to yummy restaurants and shopping! Loved walking to ‘Better Buzzed’ each morning for coffee and back along the boardwalk! Owner was easy to get a hold of and very responsive! Had so much fun with my kiddos here!

We had come back to my home town for the memorial services for my sister and my mother, who had both passed away this summer. It had been 20 years since my wife and I had stayed at Mission Beach, and the stay here was magical. Only complaint: it was too short.

Ideal ocean front location but cleanliness quite lacking.
Also, needs updating living room and patio furnishings. And perhaps a major indoor wall paint job given how much beating they’ve taken, like old gum stuck on master bedroom wall, really?
There was no lightning to outside patio for our evening BBQs.
The closest used as storage for older useless furnishings was a sore eye.
Bedding and towels were clean and some newer.
So overall this place earns this 3 star rating for me.
Not sure I’d book again unless when traveling again l see that it’s been updated and housekeeping has been addressed.

This place is perfect for a couple days at the beach. It was 100% as described in the listing. It wasn’t anything fancy, but was comfortable and pleasant. Totally clean and right on the sand at mission beach. Communication with our host, Rick, was clear and easy. We enjoyed our few days there!

The location and view were fantastic. Rick the Host was very responsive for questions pre-trip and when we were there in the condo.
The condo was big enough for our family of 8 and the beds were all very comfortable. There was a great refrigerator that was big and kept everything very cold. Having a big patio with a nice BBQ and a table with a fire in the center was wonderful.
There was an air conditioning unit in the upstairs bedroom and a fan for the lower room. The furnishings were not new but comfortable for our family with plenty of seating for eating and when we played games.
Rick provided a couple of boogie boards and chairs. There was plenty of storage space for our luggage and places to put our belongings. It was just steps from the beach and walk to the Boardwalk where there were restaurants, shops, and ice cream. There was also a Vons grocery store minutes by car. The beach in front is reserved for surfers from noon to 6 pm and the swimming and boogie boarders just had to move down the beach beyond a checkered flag. There were plenty of lifeguards present and we saw SD PD patrolling the sand at night. The walkway in front of the condo is very busy with bikes and walkers, nice to people watch.
This is a place if you love the sun, waves, and family. Many SD activities are close. We will come again.

Staying here is wonderful - right on the ocean with the sand across the boardwalk. The owner is very quick to respond to any questions or problems. We just had one bathroom sink drain slowly but someone came out right away to fix that. The property is comfortable and has everything you need. It is an older building that suffers from being close to the ocean but inside has been upgraded. I wish the security door wasnt broken but the main door locks fine.

Wonderful location right on the Boardwalk! Owner very responsive to some issues we had. Needs some new kitchen utensils and knives - for the proximity to Belmont Park and just overall convenient location, it’s perfect!

The view was amazing. The location is super convenient to restaurants and coffee shops. We loved walking on the paved path every morning and evening. Some people commented on the tight parking but we were able to fit a minivan in the parking spot. We had a great time!

The parking is tight but workable wouldn't recommend a big truck...but the condo was fabulously cozy had everything we needed from pan's to boogie boards. The location is the best a quick walk to the Starbucks, liqour store, food or Rollercoaster. Definitely will stay here again

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. The views are amazing. By nature I am an early riser, and I normally dread getting up early, but with these views and being able to enjoy my coffee in peace while sitting outside listening to the waves made each morning a joy. Our teenage son was able to boogey board each morning right outside the patio. I also had to work during our stay, and I was able to attend Zoom meetings and get work done just fine (FYI, there are two routers accessible so test which one works best for you the day before so you have a great connection. The strength of the connection varies depending on where in the house you are. Internet in the downstairs bedroom is spotty at best). The kitchen was fully stocked and having our own grill outside allowed us to make almost every meal at the condo. We only ate out once and that was only to try a restaurant that was recommended to us. We made margaritas and pina coladas in the blender provided. Here are the negatives (which we were happy to deal with given the overwhelming positives): (1) the parking spot is extremely small-we have a GMC Acadia and it barely, barely fit (back it in) and (2) there are a lot of flies, but that is normal given the beach. Just be sure to keep the screen doors closed as much as possible. Tips: (1) while beach chairs and boogey boards are provided, if you have a child over 5 feet, I recommend bringing your own board due to the size of the boards in the unit. This is not a negative, just a tip; (2) bring a beach umbrella or similar shade; and (3) know that the lifeguards post flags about 8:30 am to designate surfing areas and areas for swim and boogey boarding. Some mornings the boogey boarding area was in front of the unit and sometimes it was not, but the designated areas was only about 5 houses down. We would stay here again and have already recommended the unit to a friend.

Beachfront Getaway
This was our first time renting a beachfront property. We had a fabulous time and the location is super. The condo is as advertised and pictured. Overall a very comfortable unit. The only cons about this unit and San Diego in general is parking. You get one spot and we never saw any available "street parking" in the alley behind the condo. We rented a space in a neighbors garage (set up thru owner) a few doors down. So happy we did that. A very fun trip overall.

Less that 4 minutes to walk to Belmont Park where lots of food and things for kids to ride and play games at. Also to shop the local places there. The Condo itself has enough space for 7 of us. I know it says for 10 but I think 12 even can fits with still enough space inside. The only thing I would recommend is bringing a folding table and putting it against the wall next to the heater to give you more counter space for snacks and whatever you bring. I would definitely stay there again but with more added days. The 4 days 3 nights was not enough.

The only thing this property has going for it is location. This property is unsafe and the owner is definitely taking advantage of and price gouging guests as if it was a premium property. We vacation every year in SD and I have never been so disappointed. This home was not safe or equipped for the 8 person capacity it claims to accommodate. For starters there is no way someone can cook for a family when the kitchen does not have proper utensils. I expected a little more than a pot and couple fry pans. On top of the kitchen, the broken blinds, the screen door was broken the whole trip, owner said he fixed it until you opened it once and then it was broken. Safety is a bigger concern, the steps into the house were not secured and we had someone fall as the steps slid out from under them. Also the patio area, stone wall is not secure. While enjoying a fire one night my son fell off the wall backwards scraping his back and hitting his head on the boardwalk when one of the stone fell off. Worst of all when this was brought up to the owner we never received a response or acknowledgment that his property had issues. I guess he got his money and didn’t really care. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Our family friends stopped by for dinner one night and my other brother and his family and kids joined us for some beach time during the day. We all had a great time and everyone that stopped by loved the place. We didn't cook much and did take out (from local restaurants nearby.... Coaster Saloon BBQ was delicious. We walked to starbucks every morning) majority of our time here. We 'people watched' on the boardwalk, played at the beach (kids loved it), and walked to Belmont Park (literally less than 5 mins walk) everyday. The check in process was easy and the location was amazing. Everything you needed was just a 5 minute walk away. Anything from parks , coffee, restaurants, etc. The patio area was very nice and we took full advantage of the grill and fire pit available to us. The kitchen came with everything you needed (plates, bowls, pots, pans, utensils , coffee maker with coffee available, cleaning products, etc). The bathrooms were a bit small but we weren’t there for that. We were there for the relaxation and location. The parking was also very tight but what can I expect from California, parking is difficult anywhere I go. I have stayed at hotels with similar pricing and location and didn’t receive anywhere near the patio and room space. We will definitely be returning soon.

This gem is situated right on the beach in mid Mission Beach, while also being a short walking distance to Belmont Park and many surrounding eateries and stores. It has very nice modern furnishings and tasteful décor. It was also well cleaned for us inside and out. What’s most amazing though is the ocean front experience it provides – front row seats to the ocean, beach and boardwalk – perfect for gazing at sea, sunsets, beach activity, or passers by. We didn’t realize that people watching could be so much fun! It has a private lounge on a patio deck that’s perched just above the beach boardwalk, and is equipped with fire table and barbeque. You can also walk from there right into the living room through the large sliding glass doors and have a wonderful sit down ocean/beach view from there and the kitchen as well. The beds were quite comfortable and it was great that it came with two full bathrooms – most other places we considered just had one. The kitchen was also modern and fully equipped. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for our family, and now that we know how remarkable being ocean front is in a nice place is, we’re going to have a hard time staying anywhere else. Treat yourself!
