Perfect hotel for a solo traveler in Venice. The location couldn't be better : close to the center but far away from all the hustle and bustle. It's in a fantastic and charming area. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Venice.

I had a hassle-free 1 night stay in the very centre of Venice for good price. Room is small and bathroom tiny, but there was everything I needed and it sufficed for short stay. The window lead to a quiet inner courtyard, night was truly silent. In the morning I could hear noise from the corridor so your experience depends on other guests. Self check-in was really easy. Towels and bedding were clean and fresh. For short visit I would not hesitate - I would happily stay again.
There is issue with humidity - wallpaper behind bed was peeling off; but I detected no mold. Vanity kit was very elementary - only hand soap. Mattress was a bit less springy than I would like. There were some dust bunnies under the bed, perhaps some deep cleaning is overdue. Stairs need to be climbed, beware if you have mobility issue. Shower area was tiny. But for me it all worked.

Great location, ten minutes' walk to St. Mark's Square and very handy for the water bus to/from the airport.
Plenty of cafes and restaurants right on the doorstep.
Good communication with host enabled a smooth self check in/out.
Nice comfy, proper double bed. Despite being on the ground floor next to a public alleyway, there was no outside noise - had two peaceful nights' sleep.
Room was very basic and furniture quite old.
Plaster on the walls was peeling in places, but otherwise everything was fine for a short stay.
