Very nice rooms, probably abive the average of 4* hotels in the area. Good bed, nespresso machine, large well appointed bathroom, free bottle of water, well stocked minibar. Very good breakfast, and the buffet was resupplied constantly even close to the end of the breakfast schedule. Helpful, reliable staff. Very good location on the promenade.
No access to the beach or sunbeds included. Relatively expensive at 150 euro/night, especially considering the auto-checkin procedure which should save some staffing costs (there is nobody on site during evenings). As other reviewers have mentioned, the location next to a plaza means you are close to concerts or pubs playing music late into the evening. No problem for us, as we went to bed late.

Great experience: the hosts, location, breakfast, cleanliness, everything really. We spent most of our time at the beach and on the strip and Onal was perfect for this. Breakfasts were excellent with a nice selection of freshly fried eggs, fruit, amazing Romanian cheeses and a great coffee machine. Staff was friendly and provided us with small details such as honey. Will gladly return!
Very minor stuff that barely moves the needle really: the beach is close but very wide at this location, with course sand, compared to other Mamaia locations. This means that you have to walk a good portion to get to the sea (over 250m). Secondly, there was some noise from the square where regular concerts are hosted, depending on the guests this could be an issue on certain nights.
