Spacy, clean, small terrace and in an interesting neighborhood. Very lively, pedestrian street, with lots of bars and restaurants but no noise in the apartment. More local crowd that tourist from the city center. We loved the authentic feel, of people and bars and restaurants. Top pizza across the street, top breakfast just down the street. Value for money.

The location is absolutely perfect and in one of the most beautiful areas of Trieste's old part of town. A tree-lined street with lots of coffee places and restaurants as well as shops are at your front door. Grocery shopping was close-by. All of the staff was VERY helpful and responded quickly to anything that was needed. Giorgia was especially helpful to us arranging for a taxi as we were leaving in the early morning hours for the airport.
The apartment itself was a disappointment. While the space was generous, much of it was poorly designed with no thought for comfort or convenience, for ex. there was a large chesterfield but no TV to watch from there and the lighting was also not useful for reading. There was not even a coffee table on which to put anything such as something to drink.
Other negatives were:
- the entrance mirror had missing shelves and the holes were not even covered
- the desk chair in the bedroom was completely worn (it was replaced once we requested it)
- baseboards were scuffed, dirty and damaged
- walls had scuffs
- curtains and sheers were dirty and dragged on the floor
- the toilet seat was loose and needed tightening twice during a one-week stay
- the kitchenette was poorly stocked and did not even have a pot to cook pasta in (we did get one though once we asked).
