Breakfast adequate. Location good. Bed comfortable
Noise from the bar was very intrusive up till 11.30 p.m. closing, particularly on Friday night when there was a disco. Plumbing rather suspect

I’ve stayed here several times before. It’s old, creaky and there isn’t a straight line or right angle to the whole place but it’s just how I like it.
The room had everything I needed and the food was superb and served by friendly staff who really treated you well.
If you like all the mod cons, mirrors, gleaming chrome and everything done with a flourish this isn’t for you which means there’s more chance of a vacancy next time I want to stay.

Fabulous full english breakfast.
Whilst I unstand the building is 400 years old, the room was very uneven and you had to watch your step.
