The owners welcomed me with tea and biscuits. Luckily for me the granddaughter was there who spoke german so we were able to talk which was really nice. The bathroom was clean and had hot water for a good shower! The breakfast was delicious.
I booked the single bed which was behind a wall unit and a curtain. I had privacy but I did hear them a little bit prepare breakfast.

This guesthouse is run by an elderly couple who do not speak English, so communication is done through a translator if you don’t speak Russian. They are very welcoming and the homemade breakfast fells like having breakfast at your grandma’s (old) house.
Our room was right next to the living room, which leads to the kitchen. Because of this, you should expect to hear some noise whenever the owners or other guests are using these areas, as well as light coming into the room. The room also has a window facing the entrance of the house, so it’s not the quietest or most private room.
The room itself is small and very basic, with two single beds. The bathroom is shared with the owners.
For the price, it’s a fair option and the homemade breakfast adds a nice personal touch, but you shouldn’t expect a high level of comfort or privacy.
The guesthouse is around a 20–30 minute walk from the bus station and supermarket. If you’re travelling with a heavy backpack and want to avoid too much walking, I would recommend staying somewhere closer to the bus station.
Overall, a very basic but authentic stay, best suited to travellers who prioritise price and a local experience over comfort.
