And when you're ready to explore The Big Easy, you'll be off to a flying start in Mid-City. Though a little more laidback than its nearby party cousin – the French Quarter – there's still plenty going on here. Head to it's Cajun-Creole eateries and mellow breakfast spots. Hop on a bike to explore the famous 2.6-mile green corridor, Lafitte Greenway, leading down to City Park – the trails start just a seven-minute stroll from your door. And when it's time to up the ante, follow the bright lights down to the cocktail bars of Bourbon Street – just a ten-minute hop, skip, and a jump away on the city's iconic red streetcar.
