where should i start? the room could not be cooled of with the AC - no matter what we did. the shower can only be described as so small that we could not even wash our hair - had to be the smallest shower i have ever seen. water pressure in the shower was not even medium - kind of dribbled out. surface space in the room was not generous. we were a couple but there was only one suitcase caddy and really no place to open the other suitcase but the floor - not good. the garage....access to the garage was easy and unimpeded from the street, lighting was poor and i cannot imagine that they have not had issues with customers in the past. oh, and by the way, our room was one of the updated ones...with no central AC. a miserable experience - marriott should be ashamed, especially for the price they charged!

Service was courteous and friendly. I had to change rooms because our first one smelled, and the window couldn’t open. The change was made no problem, which I appreciated.

We had a lovely 2-night stay at the Marriott Pasadena. Highlights - excellent location close to shopping, restaurants, Old Town Pasedena; very comfortable beds and spacious room; large and fancy lobby with lots of seating to relax and eat take-out food; friendly and helpful front desk staff; great self-parking setup (no need to wait for a valet to bring your car around to you). My only suggestion is the room decor was a little disappointing (ugly carpet - but still clean so it didn't spoil our trip at all).

I was extremely disappointed on how the room was. To be honest did not expect how bad it was. Nevet again will we stay there. Not sure if there is new management but if so you can tell. The topper was having to pay $22 for self park. Had not stayed here in a while but definitely will stay elsewhere. I could not believe its in Pasadena. Expected better

We were there for a short time but needed to be closer to the airport for an early morning flight and it worked out perfectly! The beds were super comfortable. We slept very well!! Only complaint would be that there was no microwave in the room. All of the staff we interacted with were courteous and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!!

Our room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. However, the room had clearly not been cleaned properly. We noticed paper straw wrappers on the floor and bottle caps in the corner on the day of arrival. Three days later they were still there. As far as we can tell, the only housekeeping we received throughout our stay was having our towels replaced on day 2. Needless to say, a disappointment.

Lots to like about this property — location, rate, helpful and friendly staff, super clean room, comfy bed. Review seems unwilling to accept my photos of the hideous carpet and illegible bath products. But: not a deal breaker.

I was coming to Pasadena for Pokémon go fest. I have stayed at different branches of the hotel. This one was really nice. The food for breakfast and dinner was excellent. The downtown area was very pretty. The staff was so nice because they knew I was there for Pokémon. They even dress up a bit. That was so sweet of them.

newly renovated, walking distance to Gamble House, Norton Simon Gallery, and in an area of shops and restaurants. An inexpensive car-hire to Huntington Gardens. And very reasonably priced. The reason I give mid-line rating to eco-friendliness is not a criticism of Courtyard by Mariott, specifically, but an observation that Pasadena doesn't have recycling receptacles anywhere, that was evident to us.

The Front Desk Staff are super nice. However, my booking is supposed to include Parking and Breakfast that I had to manually select and pay extra for each, but the system didn't show that to them and I had to personally remind them of that and ask where, how, when etc. The breakfast was NOT WORTH IT AT ALL. Decent, but don't call it "Complimentary" when I had to pay extra for sad, very few options with no refills.

Hotel is being updated. Updated lobby, room, etc. Not loud at all. Noticed eyeliner shavings by wastebasket and when I was sitting on the bathmat noticed pee streaks and long black hair on carpet - I'm gray! I travel with lint rollers re: pets. Noticed they use older vacuum cleaners which might not be as good. I carry wipes with me so it was easy to wipe the toilet down.

This hotel was fantastic! Completely remodeled and up to date. Clean, quiet, comfortable. Great pool and hot tub. Convenient for walking to everything--the Rose Bowl Parade, the Rose Bowl game, many bars and restaurants, the exciting Colorado Blvd. Most importantly, ALL hotel personnel were incredibly friendly, courteous, professional, and helpful. Highly recommend if you are traveling to Pasadena, CA.

We loved the location to Old Pasadena and we loved the pool and hot-tub. However, the hotel was under major renovation and this came as a surprise to us. Access to amenities was difficult, scaffolding covered all windows and blocked our view of the beautiful courtyard, and although our room was newly renovated and painted, curtains were not hung yet (only the shears) which severely limited our privacy at night. We were lucky to have access to the pool because it was going to close the very next day. It was disappointing to not have warning that we would have to navigate through this major construction project. I can't wait to see this hotel again when it is finally finished.

Hotel in middle of major refurbishment, but rooms we had were newly refurbished ones & were stylish, clean & comfortable. Just had minor issues with plumbing (toilet not fully flushing & sink not draining. Staff friendly & helpful & parking charge waived after reporting plumbing issue.

We've stayed at this hotel many times over the last decade. This time the hotel is undergoing renovation and there was no indication of that when we made the reservation. The regular entrance to the hotel was blocked. Half of the parking was unavailable. There was no water for the afternoon of one day. The restaurant was moved to a meeting room and was less comfortable. The staff were good humored and helpful. We believe we should have been informed of the construction going on before we booked our reservation - and the room rate should have reflected the hotel's current state.

The Hotel was doing a remodelation all over and that was not communicated. With that type of overall remodelation, hall, corridors, restaurant, elevators, etc... the right thing to do is closing and finish the work before accepting guests

I always stayed on this hotel when I visit my daughter in college and it was always good. This time it was under construction and it did not say anything on the web. The room had a lot of thin construction dust and the closet smelled to fresh paint which cause me a congestion. PLEASE BE AWARE ! Also, they don’t offer valet parking anymore and the elevator wasn’t working good.

The hotel is under renovation and the un-renovated room I stayed in, REALLY needs help! The day I checked in, water was shut off from 11am to 4pm. The hotel facilities (pool, gym, cafe, valet parking, etc) are closed. Registration was slow and not very friendly.

Paid $330 for 1 night. Poor amenities. Not even a bottle of water. Elevator was dirty, worn, outdated and claustrophobic. Room was filled with pungent cleaning chemical smell similar to that from a motel. Hilton near by is cheaper in price and has way better amenities and much higher class overall.
