Perfect

We regularly stay at village hotels as they do good deals for families but this hotel came up with a similar price for a family room so we thought we’d give it a go. We were really impressed with the decor - very tasteful. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived so we were given a complimentary drink at the bar while we waited. The Bar man was lovely and gave my daughters some tasty biscuits which was a really nice touch. When staff are good with kids it makes a huge difference to our experience. Our room didn’t take long and when we got the key we were so happy with the space- such a good family room. The bed (including the sofa bed) and bedding were extremely comfortable- so much so, I almost missed breakfast the best morning as I slept so well- I’m not a good sleeper so this is indicative of how good the bed was. Breakfast was lovely- good selection of fruit, cereals, pastries, juices and hot selection. All good quality so I’m glad I didn’t miss it completely. We went for a swim the day we left and staff were lovely there too. This was the only part of the hotel that wasn’t of a similar standard. It was a bit dated, not quite as clean feeling as the rest of the hotel but it didn’t matter and it wouldn’t put us off staying here again. We saw a painter in overalls so I think it’s getting updated gradually. All in all- great size family room, welcoming staff, comfortable beds, clean room, lovely breakfast, nice location! Great value for money- thank you for a lovely stay.

Very good handy spot to stay

Hotels are hotels, however, your opinion changes rapidly when you get level of personal service provided by the ladies at reception, they were amazing, keep it up Ladies, look forward to seeing you all again!

The whole stay was excellent from the amazing friendly and kind staff, to the luxury rooms. Also the bed was sooooo comfy. Definitely will be back for more business trips.

Nice hotel very well appointed rooms and guest areas, pool and hot tub great. Check in not great asked for credit card details when checking in rather than pay on the terminal. Evening meal and breakfast excellent.

Stayed hear before and was good as usual, staff always friendly and helpful

Staff were good but we were not informed there was a Christmas event in the hotel. Our room was situated in the area of the building above the event and there was very loud music and noise until after midnight. Subsequently following this there were several people loudly entering their rooms on the floor we were staying on until around 3am. Sleep was poor due to this and couldn’t open a window due to noise. Would have liked to have been informed about the event as this would have impacted my decision to book a room at the hotel.

The whole experience was amazing. Shanelle at check in was so lovely and took no time in getting me checked in swiftly. She was lovely and welcoming to me. I had a lovely stay for an NHS Christmas party. The room was amazing and the bed was so comfy, it was like sleeping on a cloud!

Great value

Lovely hotel, great rooms and brilliant friendly staff. The leisure club is a bit of a let down compared to the rest of the hotel, a bit tired and in need of modernisation by comparison to the rest of the hotel. However, overall great value and I’d stay again.

Check in was slow as they had a wedding party in but staff very friendly and efficient with great customer service. Room on the cold side when we first got there but was quickly sorted out. Lovely pool area and breakfast first class. Received text message from reception to see if things were ok and request for extra milk and coffee was dealt with quickly. Would recommend

Great rooms and amazing showers. I stayed when they had a function on and the staff especially in reception were inundated. However, they still managed to give you amazing service and make you feel as if you were the only guest in the hotel!!!

Lovely hotel, perfect location. Staff friendly and helpful, bed very comfortable. Shame jacuzzi was out of order but other spa facilities brilliant

Check in was spot on . Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was very good .hotel close to centre so perfect location.

It was a lovely stay room had a few minor problems but that was dealt with from the manager and exchanged our room the manager was nothing but lovely to us and made us feel welcome

Just a overall good hotel

One night stay at the hotel to visit family locally and go to the fireworks for our anniversary. First room was cold and offered an alternative but no better. Put heating on and went out for an hour or so and room was warmer on returning. Had offered us a heater but it didn't materialise. Weren't told in any information there would be a charge to park the car £10 for 24 hours. Spa facilities were good, pool isn't as big as the photos appear to show it, but there is a hot tub not shown in photos, plus sauna and steam room. Area is really good for bars, restaurants and shops. Most of staff very pleasant. Receptionist was a little short with us about wanting a slightly later check out because we wanted to invite our family to enjoy the facilities (at understandably an extra charge). We asked 'too late' and she wanted £10 for one extra hour. Breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold food.

The rooms were stylish, spacious and modern. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful!

Stayed one night and the room was fantastic, clean, spacious, with very comfortable bed. Service at the reception at check in was great. Shanell was very friendly and made the check in experience very pleasant. Express checkout was a nice touch when you are in rush and cannot wait in the queue. I did not use any of the facilities e.g. gym, bar and fid not have an evening meal in the hotel so cannot comment on that

Very comfortable lobby, nice reception with warm welcoming, very good service for the room service as our sofa bed is damaged and immediate room changing for settle down.

Other than a slight odour in one of the two rooms when we first arrived, the stay was great. The staff are amazing, particularly Valentina on check-in who dealt amazingly with a very cagey guest. Equally welcoming at checkout was another brilliant staff member whose name I didn't quite catch. Breakfast was a decent selection, overall good rather than brilliant.

Staff were polite and helpful, room was big and clean too. Lovely little extras like complimentary flapjacks and a gorgeous throw on the bed

Very nice hotel and good breakfast but I was disappointed that we had to pay for parking but otherwise all was good .

The thought that I have picked this hotel and stayed there before Then to be asked for deposits for every night i stay there is worrying

Overall a very pleasant stay. We had one evening meal which was excellent. Dining room very well appointed and food extensive. Just two 'beefs' The pillows were far too soft and the view from our room the worst we have ever had, worldwide. Not the hotel's fault just the way all the addons over the years have made the roof a right mess!
