Parking is expensive and getting vehicle back from valet is too slow .Need to plan 30-40 min ahead

I was in Philly on business and stayed here for 4 days, 3 nights. The breakfast was your standard hotel breakfast but the eggs were undercooked (I personally don't like to drink my eggs, but I also like them drier than some). The sugar crusted waffles have GOT TO GO. I prefer to just cook my own waffles and add syrup as desired. The sugar waffles that were provided were FAR too sweet and a tad dry without syrup of some kind. The view from the breakfast room was nice though, so that helped. The rooms were quite nice bed wasn't as comfortable as other hotels I've stayed at and the pull out couch was a catastrophe of springs and discomfort for my kids on the first day. These are minor things that may not get in the way of most people, however.

The front desk staff, especially Mark, at the Residence Inn Center City Philly is the best. The valet parking staff, Tony, was also great. Mark took excellent care of our requests & just made our stay stress free. He was helpful, friendly & provided us with the best customer service. Tony was also knowledgeable & helpful. Our check-in & check-out experience was the most pleasant ever.

The room was small but comfortble. The staff we dealt with were polite though if not very personable. There was an included breakfast which was awesome, always nice to have food in the morning. It was convenient to where we wanted to be.

Valet let our doors open and someone stole our belongings. The staff were horrible unsympathetic. They were extremely rude. I would never Ever stay here again. We think it was an inside job. They stole my husband’s credit card and used at a local market.

The staff was friendly, and the location was good. However, we needed to run the shower for 15 minutes before it was warm. Someone came to check it out and said it was hot. It was only warm.

When I first arrived, I was told that I had to wait about a half hour (total) for my room to be ready because the previous guest signed out late. But the front desk was very nice and let my family each have a complimentary snack and let us wait in a lobby on another floor in the meantime. When we were alerted the room was ready, we went in and found the room nice and clean and very spacious!
Our only gripe was that the bathroom was quite disproportionate compared to the rest of the room. The door almost buts the toilet when you open it, making it awkward to get in. Other than that, we loved the room! It had a great view, which we loved.

I was very disappointed as I requested a suite with kitchen and separate room from the sitting area and they gave us a handicapped/accessible room very different from what I paid for. I almost felt like my room was given to someone else and we got whatever what was left. There was no curtain or bathtub at all. As a mom with a teenage son and boyfriend, the privacy of a curtain would have been very helpful. The room was in the bedroom so just was awkward if someone needed to use the bathroom while I was in the shower. I was extremely unhappy and feelings not acknowledged when I said something to the front desk. Additionally paid for valet parking but had to walk down the block and had to wait a half hour for my car. I did not have a good stay at all for the money. Very disappointed.

Loved our stay here! The staff was super friendly and helpful, we were about a 2 minute walk from the convention center. The area around the hotel was much nicer than other hotels we’ve stayed at in Philly. Valet parking was super quick and easy. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Overall had a great stay and would definitely stay again!

Room was dirty. Shower leaked and no hot water

Front desk staff could have been more attentive. They were so busy looking at the kids and party goers that they didn’t pay attention to the line of people waiting to be checked in. Also, the valet parking was a mess. However, the room was comfortable enough for a night and for an old building they have maintain

I like it bcz it's just in the city, very convenient.
But one lady in the front desk was very rude didn't want to help us to send somebody to help us to carry the luggage

This was my first time staying at this property and I found it to be very accommodating. I was in Philadelphia for a bike ride. The hotel stored my bicycle and retrieved it for me when I needed it. The front desk staff were very friendly and very helpful. The valet parking staff was also efficient and helpful.

Hotel staffs are friendly esp Zahrah and Marc. We got warm welcoming smiles from them. The hotel is in a great location. Walkable to almost every destinations we wanted to visit. Cosmetic wise, a little run down.

Great location for a center city Philadelphia staycation.
The bathroom was a little disappointing as the shower and sink did not have enough water pressure.

Great location. Weird bathroom - had closet type doors into shower/toilet area. Didn’t get room service unless specifically asked for on a daily basis. Carpet could do with a vacuum. Kitchen area was clean. Drapes were lovely and blackout. Lovely view across City Hall. Decent breakfast with adequate seating.

I would not stay here again because of the insanely loud dirt bike, ATV, etc. racing that occurs literally every night, starting about 6:00/7:00 (we were there for about a week) ALL NIGHT LONG. (Quick Google search indicates the racing is illegal and a known issue to Philly police and city council.)
The point of a hotel is a place to sleep away from home. While everything else about the hotel was fine, the disrupted sleep caused by the nocturnal racing would make me look elsewhere next time. We were facing the street and on a lower floor. Either Philly needs to address this issue, or Marriott needs to invest in better windows to block sound.
The staff, especially the man and woman handling the breakfast room, was incredibly friendly and kind.
The location is great, easy walking distance to public transportation, Love Plaza, Reading Terminal Market.

Water backed up in bathtub and sink. Spoke to front desk. Sink fixed but not the tub. Dirty pot left in the cabinet. Paid alot did not get what was advertised. Should be on the top floor. Placed on another.

Staff is so kind and accommodating. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Location is great.

The sound level from the street is very loud. All day/night all you could hear was traffic - cars, busses and motorcycles - which was like a race around the city hall square (I was on street side, 3rd floor). The breakfast was ok, only pastry were prepackaged muffins. Location was good for walking all over the city. Parking around the hotel was a nightmare so I had to valet. My car had to stay on the street for 2 days because their parking garage was full. So $65/night seemed high for street parking. They also turned away guests because of no available parking. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was sold out so the lobby was crowded and the elevators took a lot of time. I asked where the stairs were and I was told I couldn’t use them because they were locked with a code. That didn’t seem to be very safe. Would I stay there again - probably not with all the other options around. The price for the 4 nights had a different rate each night. Saturday nights fee was $100 more than Friday night. Housekeeping only came 1 day. All in all it was okay.

I had a fabulous experience- it was my daughter’s graduation and the room was perfect! But the staff was the BEST- especially, Taylor, who was so helpful and kind. She most definitely made my experience enjoyable and one to remember.

I liked the unique layout of the room.
I did not like the breakfast. Very few choices and the same thing for the four days I spent there.
