The front desk person was not friendly at all. You need to have your own streaming service login to watch many regular channels. The area is beautiful and the hot springs are very nice. We just felt that the service was lacking.

That was the happiest mistake I have ever made! I meant to book the hotel next door but booked Box Canyon Lodge instead. I loved it there so much. They had brand new uncrowded pools with unbelievable views. Robin at the front desk was so incredibly nice and the room was comfy and clean. It’s my new favorite place to stay in Ouray. We will definitely be back.

We had a really nice 3 day stay at Box Canyon Lodge and Hot Springs. Our room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and there was breakfast included with the reservation. It is an older hotel but I was pleased with the room, value and location. They did have some unique hot tubs naturally fed that were in the shape of barrels. We did enjoy them but there was some specific instructions sent out after we arrived on the safest way to enter and exit the hot tubs which was appreciated. I enjoy staying at local privately owned hotels and motels.

The hot springs off of their hill was the best part, and the fact we could bring our dog was a nice plus. So cute and quaint. The outside areas were really cute.

I can not believe you close the hot tub pools at 9pm! That is way too early - 10 maybe (but the hot tubs that stay open all night are the best)! Also, the front desk girl came out at 8:30 pm to tell us that we needed to prepare to get out in 1/2 hour. She said the pools were too hot (so the next morning she made sure they were all cooler, even though everyone told her that they liked them how they were - hot - like hot springs should be). In the morning all of the pools were about 100° - colder than I like my baths). I had to go to another hot springs to actually soak in some hot waters so I was not happy. I went there for the hot springs!

Love this place. The mineral springs on the hillside are easily accessible. No crowd this time of year so tubs were always available.
The downtown is an easy walk from the lodge.

Awesome place with great hot springs. Conveniently located to walk into town or hop straight onto the Perimeter Trail. Will definitely stay again.

I checked out online for 11am the night before departure, but I had housekeeping knock and try to enter the room 3 separate times before checking out!! Communication with housekeeping may be necessary!

We were not fans of the electronic check in. It was cumbersome and not efficient. After that process was complete, we still needed to sign forms, etc for the use of the tubs. Seems like other properties have a smoother process. Finally after the check in process and text response showing our room number the keys were for another room!!! Staff at the front desk acted as though we were incompetent. Room was average nthe hotel has declined since our last stay from years past. The room.was clean and bed comfortable.

The motel was clean and the beds were comfortable. It is noisy so as soon as people near you start to get up and around everyone is up. Front desk staff were adequate but not welcoming. Breakfast on Sunday was a Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich and it seemed they were low on stock or stingy with stuff. Hot tubs were nice but we wished they supplied robes since it was chilly.

A nice, friendly place. Room was clean, good bed. Rooms could use some updating. Very low toilet. The tub / shower was slippery. There was no bath tub mat and no grab bar.

Horrible check-in experience for us as well as 2 other parties coming in the same time. Had to call the manager in duty 6 times while standing at the front desk to get checked in. No greeting or apology for the wait-and no clean room. I’ve machine broken, which I reported but I suspect they already knew, and no apology or effort to correct. Breakfast was one of the worst I’ve seen at any hotel. Just grateful we had shortened our stay to one night.

Very cute property and rooms. All staff we encountered were excellent. We didn't end up having time to do the hot springs but they looked fun. Communication was great.
Only complaint would be there were gnats coming through the ceiling in the bathroom.

We loved the layout of the room! There were 5 of us, so the second room and the table with barstools were so nice to have! It's an older hotel, but they've done a cute job making the rooms nice, within the confines of the actual building being outdated (office style tile ceiling for example). It would have been nice to have A/C in the second room, but it was beautiful out and we were able to open the windows.
The staff was really nice and friendly, and the hot spring area is really nice! They even called to walk us through late check-in procedure, as it was getting close to the time the lobby closed. It's also great location.

Very cute and convenient right on the edge of town where you can easily walk to anything in town, including a couple of waterfalls. Has its own natural hot springs hot tubs and a nice lookout spot above those if you keep walking up.

The room was clean, but the bathroom was lacking. The toilet was too small, didn't use it.
The lighting around the stairs at the hot tubs was poor. I fell and cracked some ribs. When I told management, they offered little sympathy or care. They should have offered a discount or a future stay or something.

We loved the room, it was very comfortable, nicely updated and clean with all the amenities needed. We loved using the hot spring tubs at night, they were fabulous. Our only issues were our sheets wouldn't stay fastened to the corners of the bed and the door was hard to open. We wished there was more at breakfast such as fruit and yogurt. No complaints at all!

Great place to stay in Ouray. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Anything we needed, they got for us or pointed us in th right direction. Loved the hot spring tubs and balcony. Weld stay there again.

Love, love, loved our accommodations. The room was spacious, we had a private balcony, the hot springs were marvelous. Dillon, the front desk clerk when we checked in was very helpful. He was knowledgeable about the town and box canyon falls.

The motel is quaint and really peaceful. Its a great location to hiking and town. And we loved the hot tubs! Only reason its not 5 stars is we never got clean towels when we asked.

We had a serious roadside emergency. I am in hospitality industry at a luxury boutique property and we work with guests in situations like this- offer a credit etc. Even though booked through Expedia they were willing to work with us if the property did. No luck. I had 2 rooms booked. No compassion shown as we were calling from the roadside stranded in the desert
