Great location close to Villa Borghese Park and the city center. Super friendly staff. The room size was good. It's an old building but it's well-maintained. Great value for money.

I can not say enough positive things about our stay at Hotel Golden in Rome. Thank you to Giuseppe and his family for making our stay a most memorable one. The hotel is quiet, centrally located (just 2 blocks away from Via Veneto and Villa Borghese), and very clean. We covered most of the landmarks of the city by foot. Both my husband and I were thrilled with the personalized and friendly attentions of the staff. We hope to be back soon and are grateful for all of the warmth and hospitality. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at this family-owned and family-run hotel. Giuseppe was usually there when we left in the morning and when we returned late at night.

Guiseppe was an amazing host from checking in to checking out. He helped us book our return journey to the airport with a private van and recommended a fantastic cafe just across the road where we ate outside (with no extra charge) every morning. Our room was made fresh and clean everyday. The 108 year old elevator was a delight to use. The hotel is within walking distance to the Espagna Metro Station, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Villa Borghese gardens and is surrounded by restaurants and up market stores. Overall it was an amazing experience and would 100% stay at Hotel Golden again. 10/10 from this happy family

Excellent pace to stay in Rome. The owner of the hotel is very friendly and helpful. I didn’t try the breakfast but I am sure is amazing because is done by an italian nonna. Highly recommend.

Anything but golden just no couldn’t even take the key with us did t upgrade at all the bathroom was a horror and no amenities the family is I guess nice but would give us a cup of coffee in the morning unless we ordered in advance the room was so old fashioned the bed was comfortable that’s the only saving grace

We just left Roma after a five night stay. LOVED hotel Golden!! The staff is absolutely amazing! It is a small family owned business and the family members treated us like family. Perfectly clean rooms and amazing hospitality! Walking distance to all attractions in Rome and many many amazing restaurants nearby. Giuseppe, was an amazing host - from making sure we were comfortable, to calling in taxis when requested, to helping us make reservations for restaurants….we couldn’t have asked for a better host! They was a transport strike (today) and he helped us with calling bus services and taxis to make sure we reached our next destination. We are so happy that we stayed here and highly recommend this establishment!!

Must always be buzzed in to get inside hotel. Key must always be dropped off at front desk when leaving, then must pick up again when returning. No privacy at all from other rooms, can hear precisely everything the next room room occupants conversation & bathroom business. Awfully expensive for what we received, just horrible.

It's clean and accessible to many restaurants and shops. The Spanish Steps is within walking distance ( 15 minutes). Check-in is a little inconvenient as you have to go to 2nd floor and must be buss in by the owner.

We only stayed one night at this hotel, but it was clean, comfortable and the location was great. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

We experienced a fantastic vacation in Rome, Italy in part due to the wonderful service provided by the family staff of Hotel Golden. We appreciated the location of the hotel (1 block from the US Embassy) and the convenience of good restaurants close by and ability to get taxi service quickly by simply asking staff to call for one. While the building is older, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the bath updated. Giuseppe, the primary manager for the family, offered so much information and assistance, and kept us on track constantly. A taxi strike was scheduled unexpectedly in the middle of our stay, and Giuseppe offered solutions. He arranged our transport from the airport to the hotel, from the hotel to our cruise port a week later and even from the cruise port to the airport a week after we checked out of the hotel. My cell phone dropped out of my pocket in a taxi mid trip and we called for Giuseppe’s help - and he unbelievably tracked down the driver who located my phone and arranged for the taxi driver to return it to the hotel by the time we got back the same day - just amazing service and care for the hotel’s guests! Highly recommend this hotel and we will be repeat customers for sure! We felt very grateful to be staying at Hotel Golden - and it was so reasonably priced!

The hotel was in a nice location close to restaurants and walking to attractions! Villa Borghese is a beautiful park and 2 minute walk from Hotel Golden. The family that runs the hotel are very friendly and helpful . I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome.

We arrived at Hotel Golden after our red eye flight from the US. It is a family owned hotel and everyone was very kind and the hotel was very clean. They arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the airport and allowed us to drop off our bags while we waited for our check in later in that afternoon. Overall, the room was all we needed for one night, a little small, but that was no problem for us. Our biggest issue was the bed, it was very uncomfortable, which after nearly 24 hrs of no sleep, was definitely not ideal. Mini fridge in our room did not work and couldn't get TV to work either (didn't care as much about the TV as we did the fridge, we had brought some leftovers back to the room and then discovered it wasn't working).

This property is more like a 3 star, with 5 star service. The family who owns and manages the property are very helpful and kind. Breakfast made by momma Teresa is very special and tasty! Very clean. The one thing we missed was having a coffee machine, hair dryer and iron in the room. Beds were so comfortable. Big rooms, big bathroom, has an elevator! Air conditioning was lovely. However, Not much of a view from the window. We felt safe and comfortable and cared for.

Nice quiet, safe and clean. Family owned and operated. This hotel gives you an exceptional taste of Rome. We Americans might expect more from the in-room television offering, but it is true European / Italian.

This is a family run business and they do an excellent job at it. Very, very friendly and will go out of their way to accommodate, which you don't find in this day and age. Wi-Fi worked fine. I would absolutely stay here again.

Good location (just far enough from heavy tourist spots, but still close enough in a nice neighborhood with good food options), spacious beautiful room, great air conditioning, great service. It's not a traditional hotel (no lobby), but that's not a problem at all, and the value for money is very good for Rome.
