I see the reviews on this hotel are mixed. It was an excellent stay for my spouse and I, but I don’t think it’s for everyone. It’s unique. If you are looking for a luxury inn, or a copy/paste-style corporate hotel, you’re looking at the wrong property.
We LOVED it here! The rooms are somewhat tiny, and yes, a bit dated. But they were clean and comfy. Yes, housekeeping is every other day, but for only two people- how many towels were we *really* using in a day?
The staff were all fantastic, treated everyone like they were relatives coming to stay. Check in and check out was very easy.
Location couldn’t be better- walking distance of restaurants and downtown Estes! And our room backed up to the river. Pro tip: get a room by the river and open a window, it creates the perfect white noise at night!
The breakfast is very basic, I do wish that was a bit better. There wasn’t even any milk or cereal. Toast, bagels, coffee, tea, some pre-packaged pastries, and fruit.
The DVD collection was super fun and came in handy on an evening with no plans and rainy weather- so fun! Reminded me of good days gone by.
A great stay overall, would most definitely stay here again.
