The service there is wonderful. Even with WhatsApp , the response is extremely fast. However I believe they need to clean up some areas around the area outside the private pool which can’t be seen which has rubbish outside. The sea is also quite dirty with plastic bottles and plastic bags. Otherwise the service there is friendly and a good place to relax.

Room/villa offered was far away from matching ANY of the pictures from the advertisement. Same for the pool side.
We had to ask to have side bed lamps, and transat by the pool. Nothing was provided.
The staff tho did a good job accommodating after the request. Overall the staff is very nice and helpful here.
Food selection overall was so-so. Except the breakfast bread we found really good. But the buffet breakfast was usually too crowded and simple food like scramble eggs were a mix of over cooked eggs 2 out of 3 mornings.
Local options like Roti paratha were also far from great. (Basically eggs between 2 crepes).
We found the evening dinner at the main restaurant fairly noisy between the local band playing, the music from the restaurant and some party/karaoke next door.
Overall very disappointing stay, aside from the attentive and helpful staff.

Pros:
1. Most of the staff we encountered were friendly. Kudos to the team of staff who tried their best to keep us dry on a rainy day and cleaned our luggages at the lobby and at our villa
2. Also, kudos to Erwin and Herdika from the housekeeping team. Erwin went beyond the call of duty and was willing to share his personal number so that I can contact him directly if I needed any supplies
3. Staff were swift in attending to our feedbacks
4. Good selection and quality of food for buffet breakfast on an off-peak day
Cons:
1. Slippers supplied by the hotel does not have a good grip. I fell down in the toilet and in the living area
2. We had to wait for more than 15 mins for a buggy to pick us up during the peak season
3. 2 screws were found at the bottom of the swimming pool in our villa
4. Cupboard doors and many of the sliding doors around the villa were hard to slide
5. Water pressure was low after taking a Jacuzzi bath. Water was not hot too
6. Despite using the repellent, there are still many mosquitos, bees and ants around the villa. Surprised to find a dead cockroach in the living area too
7. Some of the lights in the villa are not working
8. There is only 1 aircon and a fan to cool the living area. It is unable to cool the area on a hot day
9. Some of the furnishing or equipment in our villa shows signs of wear and tear
Certainly not value for money given the price we paid for a 3-bedroom villa.

A resort with most of the things you need including restaurants and spa, thoughtful and responsive service and friendly staff. A good place to stay just to chill for 2 days and enjoy the pool and facilities.
My feedback will be that the prices are very close to Singapore pricing, expensive by Batam standards.
Note that there are no other food options or shopping around. Heading out to the city or mall will take you 40-45mins and the only means of transport is through booking a car at the concierge, as Gojek is not permitted. If you have a driver, they can come in to pick you.

Booked 3 villas (3 rooms in one residence) for family NY count down, ended up my bro slip and fall sprained his leg. Montigo given us very bad impression in my whole life of resort staying. The facilities broken down, staircase no light no handrail, most of the taps either leaking or not in good condition! The standard is not good at all! The 4D 3N of staying makes us keeps on asking for maintenance and room service (takes an hr), building structure is not safe (floor slippery, toilet for can’t lock, doesn’t provide enough toilet accessories, flooding when it rain etc). Hence, my family members said, this will be our first and last to stay in Montigo! NOT RECOMMENDED

The staffs were very friendly, the whole overall stay was wonderful but the private pool could have better maintenance as some of the tiles has dropped off and some dirt was found in the pool

Electric kettle spoilt and nearly caused burnt on hand. Bathroom water level 1 n level 2 main room does not flow down fast while we bathe, and it became clogged. Toilet at level 2 smaller room flushing water was low.

The staffs was very friendly and respectful towards us. The buffet breakfast spread was full of variety and good. The rooms were clean n comfortable. We are very happy with our stay at Montigo. Just need a bit more maintenance on the exterior and facade of the villas.

Resort charges for everything At highly inflated prices. Disappointed at cost of everything . Eg. cost us $S160 to play archery for half an hour.
Restaurants were average at best and dinner at seafood restaurant for 5 (3 kids, 2 adults) was $300. Extortion. So many staff doing nothing. Counted 8 staff at checkout and only one person doing checkout as only one cashier - surely all the staff could go through it and just send go to cashier to pay. Ridiculous. I would recommend staying here- facilities are tired and Run down. Rubbish on the beach and so much plastic waste

Spa was very good. The villas were spacious and the private pool was lovely. Overall the place has seen its best days and needs maintenance. But it was clean everywhere and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Food was ok but we did not enjoy the breakfest.

Stay was good but pickup from terminal was very unpleasant. We had elderly parents and Ritchie who cane to pick us up was very rude and made us wait in the sun for an hour for no apparent reason. He realized his mistake later but the resort is yet to take any action.

1. Coach provided upon arrival at Nongsa Ferry Terminal. A Montigo staff was waiting to guide us to the coach. They already have a list of all guests checking in that day but you can provide your arrival time beforehand by sending them an e-mail.
2. Very personalised check-in. You are welcomed with a refreshing lemongrass drink and a front desk staff will approach you to process your check-in. The staff is assigned to you before your arrival, would have done some research on your profile and is ready to answer all questions. We were assigned Teguh, a hospitable, warm and thoughtful indiviual :) We had told him we were on our mini honeymoon as a passing comment and he later surprised us with a big slice of cake and a band of singers not long after we checked into our villa! He took a photo of us with the band and at the end of our stay, surprised us again by providing a framed photo of that memory!
3. We booked a Premier Villa with Sea View, which had a private pool. Quiet and peaceful, with plenty of privacy. Villas are arranged in a way that ensures you are obscured from your neighbour and they would not be able to listen in on your conversation unless you shout with maximum vocal power. Villa was also spacious and big, with plenty of towels (2 for bathing, 2 for swimming). Bathroom was also very big.
4. Plenty of activities to do. We booked a couple package at their award winning spa and it was AMAZING!
5.Be prepared to wait for buggies to get around during high occupancy

For the high price we paid completely unacceptable would not recommend.

I spent one night with my parents and husband, and it was total disappointment. I would say facility is fair, but the staffs and services are very bad for 5 star resort.
1) Phone does not work in the property, so we had to link whatsapp for services. They know many properties have broken phones, but they don't have an intention to fix them. They just guided visitors to use Whatsapp and when I used it to call, sounds were really bad. Why don't they just make phones work initially?
2) Any service we requested ended up not completely done or came really late. For us to get what we requested, we had to made multiple requests because they forgot things. e.g., we requested for cooking pot, it never got delivered. Wine opener took 40 minutes to get to us. Buggy service didn't come after confirmation (3 times), so we had to wait outside for 20 min and ended up walking to reception with all our luggage. Took us 20 mins to get towel by the pool. It can go on..
3) Restaurant choices are very limited. Only two restaurants available and they don't serve water. You have to buy water for $5.
4) It was raining when we got there and we had some spots with water dripping inside the villa. Near window, master restroom and stairs.
5) Hygiene - We found a line of ants in the morning, which came all the way from the whole on the wall.
6) Price - Not cheap. Water bottle from convenient store was $5. I bought it because they limited complementary water.

My only comment is for the mini zoo - I think the goats look malnourished and their home made of stilts seem very uncomfortable. If only they can get a bigger home with comfortable resting space.

Our stay was great, clean hotel, very helpful staff, great breakfast. However we were really disappointed to see so much plastic in the sea right by the hotel. I understand all of it is not manageable to take care of, but I would hope that the hotel could invest some resources to clean it. We did our part and spent 40 minutes hoping it would make at least a small difference.

Nice big villa. Booked the hilltop villa. Open view of the sea. Hilly compound, so buggy service is required to move around most of the time. Love the private pool in the living area. Great for chilling and doing nothing. Breakfast has good selections. Spa is good. Overall good experience. Just note that overall is a little pricey for the chargeable activities.
