Stayed here many times & Love the Property. This time the Heater in Bathroom didn't work and the dishwasher leaked. (reported to front desk) On Dec 30th we came back around 9pm to 8 Police Cars around The Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites. Upon entering we found police & the front desk Ransacked. It was quite disturbing so we went right to our room. Other than that things are always first rate & the Staff are Amazing. Breakfast is Awesome.

Parking charges excessive, basic room with minimal basic accessories, pull out bed not made up despite knowing 4 would be sleeping there and only one blanket for winter, heating fans in this hotel really loud and disturbed sleep, second room I have slept in with same issue.

I always like staying at the Homewood Suites whenever I am in Halifax. The property is in great condition, the staff are great to deal with, and the location of the hotel is in reasonable walking distance to anywhere downtown. I find their parking option to be quite convenient. The breakfast included with the stay is good too.

Lovely hotel, would definitely stay in again. The rooms were very large and had everything we needed. While the roof top seating area was under construction and the pool was an adventure to find, we enjoyed the amenities. Breakfast was ok, a wee bit too salty for me. The only complaint I had was parking. Being downtown, obviously parking spaces are a premium, but when the very few handicap spaces were taken, the parking garage was a bit of a hike to do on a cane

I recently stayed at this property for 5 nights and was very satisfied with the level of customer service and overall visit. The daily breakfast offered a great variety of food and beverage options. The suite was larger than I anticipated and front desk staff and supervisor were very attentive and quick to resolve any issues. Location is perfect as it is central downtown and close to all amenities and the waterfront and sites within walking distance. Would highly recommend this hotel suite for all short and longer term stays in Halifax! 10/10

Continuing from previous (I stayed 10 days earlier), and I had left a bathrobe. Upon return, after reported being found, it was initially not found, and subsequently, with a second request, brought to my room...so alls well that ended well, with apologies for the extra work requested.

The room cost $600 for starters the tvs didn’t work, the bowls had dirt in them, the metal coat hooks were broken, screws missing from the deadbolt, I had food stains on my comforter so it wasn’t washed, and to top it all off I have no clue how to get a refund or discount, the hotel says through Expedia but i can’t find one form of contact information

Although it is paid parking in the nearby structure, it was convenient. The staff is extremely attentive, from the breakfast staff who kept everything stocked and varied every morning, to the front desk which accommodated our every request with a smile.Added bonus: the Indian restaurant across the street is outstanding.

We enjoyed having the full kitchen in the suite and their welcoming policy for pets. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast buffet and the pool as well. Unfortunately the internet was down in the hotel for most of our stay which was frustrating. I dont know when it went down but it was down when we arrived and stayed down over 24/h from then which made it hard for our cell data usage. They did comp our parking fee in apology which was appreciated.

We had made reservations for a queen suite. When we arrived, we were informed they no longer had any queen suites available. They placed us in a king suite, but that did not have the right bed configurations for our party. We were placed on the top floor, the farthest point from the laundry facility, which was in the basement and quite a walk. Once you arrived in the basement, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless they were in an emergency situation and needed a night stay. Breakfast was mediocre.

Property is tired and in need of a refurb. Walls and couches were dirty from wear. They cleaned, that was not the issue. The pool was heated but on the cooler side so when we took our kids they did not want to stay long. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast had great options and location works really well for us. If the property did not show its age we would stay again. As it will be several years before we go back I would check new reviews. If I were going next week I would try something else first.

After a day of travelling, we were really looking forward to a nice hot shower. Unfortunately, our bathroom didn’t have hot water. Let the front desk know. Next day, still no hot water for a shower. Ended up having a cold shower. And next day… still no hot water! One elevator wasn’t working, so the entire hotel was stuck using one elevator. Ended up waiting half an hour just to use a couple times During the busy morning rush. We had all of our luggage, so couldn’t use the stairs unfortunately. The manager did comp us one nights stay due to the water problem, which we appreciated.

We had a good stay. The only suggestion I have, is for the hotel to offer a shuttle service to and from the airport. Homewood Suites and Hampton Inn are connected, so there is no reason why they couldn't share a shuttle and charge a nominal fee. We didn't rent a car, so we had to pull our luggage up the hill to get a public bus.

Room was good, waiting for the elevator was a bit much, after waiting 5-10 minutes the door open and it was house keeping. Maybe instead of holding up the elevators in the busiest time of the morning they could stock there carts the prior day and have someone take them to them floors during the night when not so many people are using them.

We were so pleasantly surprised by the Homewood Suites in Halifax. The rooms were spacious, clean and updated. The staff were very helpful. The breakfasts were very good. We would stay here again in the future.

we have stayed multiple times at the Homewood Suites. We keep returning as the locations is great, the staff very friendly. This time we had a view of the harbor with was very nice. Only 1 complaint: The TV service was poor in that many of the channels were out of sync when speaking wihich made it hard to watch. room 710.
