The staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful. We had the spa suite and it was huge and very nice.
The breakfast was traditional Turkish food with vegetables, salads, hard boiled eggs. I longed for some hot eggs and toast. No ice was available at the hotel, but the front desk kept us supplied with water. There was a mini-refrigerator in the room to keep it cold.
Location was great, right at the Galata Bridge, which had several wonderful restaurants on the lower level. There was a coffee shop right next door but coffee wasn’t available until 8:30 so make other plans for coffee if you’re an early starter.

The pictures online makes the hotel look magically antique and ornate. Unfortunately the truth is that it's just old and run down. The comforter was smaller than the mattress, there was no A/C, and it was incredibly loud and bright making sleep a challenge. We both bought ear plugs to combat the street noise. Great location, but no other positive attributes.
