Location, walking distance to everything. Friendly staff, clean comfy room, comfortable beds, huge well-stocked bathroom. OK but very limited breakfast.

Breakfast was very basic, but OK. Staff perpared a simple omlet each morning, which was nice.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful in answering questions and problem-solving when the faucet water ran dry late at night. Bathroom was clean, and the shower water was hot, although when I asked for more soap than the "wrapped tiny bar" that was provided, housekeeping left 2 more "used, unwrapped" pieces of soap that I didn't feel comfortable in using.
My room was extremely dark. This could be helped by adding working lightbulbs in 2 of the 4-light ceiling fixture (only 2 were working) and larger lamps w/ higher watt bulbs. Also - carpet on stairs & hall is extremely threadbare, giving the property a dingy appearance. There could be many "environmental" improvements to the courtyard area which is basically bare with one lonely plastic table and a few potted plants around the perimeter. (Perhaps this is intentional, but it does not invite casual lounging/gathering in that area.)

my stay was excellent from start to finish. The staff arranged an airport pick-up for us, which was a fantastic touch and made our arrival completely hassle-free.
The room was spacious and comfortable, with a good-sized bathroom that included both a bath and a shower. The hotel is also ideally located right next to the main plaza, making it easy to explore the area.
Unfortunately, I suffered severe altitude sickness during my stay, but the owner was incredibly caring and attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure my wellbeing, providing remedies and support whenever needed, which I was extremely grateful for.
Breakfast was good and provided a great start to each day. The hotel also happily stored our luggage for a small fee while we spent three nights near Machu Picchu, which was very convenient.
Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for its excellent location, comfortable accommodation, and outstanding hospitality. The genuine care shown by the owner made all the difference to our stay.
The room allocated overlooked the street, so there was occasionally some noise from outside, particularly in the evenings. Personally, I didn't mind too much and sometimes even enjoyed hearing the local music and entertainment, which added to the atmosphere. However, it may be worth considering for light sleepers or families with young children who might be more affected by the noise.

The location is great
The rooms we booked weren’t available so we ended up having to pay more for a better room. The better room was alright but noisy and didn’t have a plug for the bath.
