This charming hotel near the castle was one of the highlights of our trip! The atmosphere was so quaint and welcoming, giving us the perfect Bavarian experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a wonderful selection of fresh and local offerings to start each day. The location could not have been better—just a short walk to the castle tours, making it easy to enjoy one of Germany’s most iconic landmarks. We also loved being within walking distance of the lake, the breathtaking mountain views, and the delightful local shops.
The entire area had such a fun and inviting vibe, and the hotel was the perfect place to relax and take it all in. Between the beautiful scenery, convenient location, and warm hospitality, our stay was incredibly enjoyable. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and would gladly stay here again!

Nice big room in period building of the hotel complex. Not easy to access pool and spa and other amenities. Great breakfast included.

We loved the amenities and used the pool and sauna almost every day. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had. The air conditioning was really strong in our room which we appreciated.
There were a few downsides. We didn’t feel like the staff were extra hospitable besides the cleaning crew. The cleaning crew were awesome and so friendly. But we asked if we could check out at 12 instead of 11 because we just got engaged and the receptionist said no which I thought was odd. In the US, they would have done something special for an engagement and we didn’t receive that response. He said he was concerned that his coworkers would be mad at him for letting us stay an hour later and didn’t want to get yelled at. After working in hospitality for 6 years, I was very surprised by this reaction especially at a hotel this expensive.
Are other downside was we felt like we couldn’t sit outside on the lounge chairs because there were so many bees.
