At this price for a san francisco hotel I'm not sure how other reviewers expectations were so high. My room was not terrible, the facilities are older. it was clean, no evidence of bed bugs. Location is convenient, walking distance to shopping and food. I am a female who travelled alone and checked in at 1am, I was not uncomfortable. Homeless people are to be expected in this area of the city.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Room was clean and sheets were fresh. I had a room with private bathroom, which was very nice. No towels, but complimentary soap and shampoo. Bring your own towel.
The hotel is in a bad area of San Francisco with street people, junkies and trash everywhere. Lots of noise and arguments amongst the other guests.
