The Mathis House is a wonderful place to unwind and relax if you're looking for peace and quiet. The staff are amazing, the room was comfortable with abundant plush towels and free wifi. Coffee and delicious snacks were available throughout my stay. Breakfast was excellent and consisted of scrambled eggs, crisp bacon, fresh fruit, a warmed croissant with clotted cream, orange juice, and coffee.
The scones are a must, I had the vanilla bean flavored one and it was heavenly. Ample parking on the premises made it easy. Delightful wrap around porch for your use. The interior of the Mathis House has a Victorian feel, elegantly decorated rooms and gifts for purchase. I recommend the handmade soaps and local honey. I highly recommend the Mathis House and hope to stay again someday.
