The breakfast service uses single use plastic plates and cutlery which is such a disappointment in 2024. Unnecessary and to make it worse the art in the dining room are ceramic plates. I would try other hotels in the area purely on this basis. The Colony area is great. Just a quick hop from the airport and has some great facilities, close to McKinney, good food options within walking distance.

This is probably the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and the rooms are big and roomy. But the beds are FIRM. I hate a firm mattress. It kills my back. I never sleep good when the beds are too firm and the pillows are feather pillows and flat. If you like a firm mattress, this is the place for you!

Hotel is fairly new. I had a problem when they ask me to pay $30 more when checking in he said in case we take something. Had to be there for work so I didn’t have time to find something else cause I really wanted to just find something else.

The employees was amazing! The room and bathroom was clean. The entire hotel smelted fresh and sanitized. I recommend staying at the Holiday Inn Express.

Check-in went smoothly. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and courteous. Hotel was located close to interstate and lots of entertainment locations. Only issues we had were the television remote batteries were dead, which they replaced for us with no problem, and the iron didn’t work, which we just used the one from out son’s room. Overall, it was a great stay. Hotel was very nice and clean!

I’m assuming it was the owners Sitting in lobby playing cards with family. Very odd for a hotel. I will consider going to a different hotel.

Staff was nice, room was clean. only thing that would set this reservation up for a score of ten was the fact that there were two flying roaches that were in the lobby. Rooms did NOT have any bugs at all. This only occurred at night because of the lobby doors opening. i think that a double entry way would resolve that issue. Really clean rooms, wonderful staff, yummy breakfast. I understand that nature is nature so when those two flying roaches came in, everyone took quick action and kicked them outside.

This is the cleanest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. The appointments are spare (but everything I need), and they are very well done. It’s near everything that’s going on, and the main thoroughfare to take you between Lewisville and Dallas. Plus, I got a fantastic price; I will be back again!

First time using Holiday Inn Express. Cable tv and wifi internet out for hours so couldn’t do any work or watch tv. Stayed here for business but couldn’t get any work done because of the outage. Will not stay again.

A wonderful time with my grandkids. They loved the indoor pool (although the water was very cold). The front desk staff were very kind and accommodating. They went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. Great location. Spacious rooms. Delicious breakfast. This will definitely be our go to when we come to The Colony to visit our Texas family.
