The staff is over the top accommodating. Loved them. The property is beautiful and worth the stay. We staying in the king bed room and while amazing it did have a couple issues. Rain that night caused us to have to close the storm shutter which then blocks all the fresh air flow and without air conditioning option it got hot. Also with the rain there is a well known water leak in the roof that drips and was very irritating to listen to trying to sleep

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this charming boutique hotel in Barahona.
Every single detail is beautifully maintained , you can truly feel the care and attention that has gone into the property. The rooms are tastefully decorated, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. Honestly, I have rarely seen this level of quality anywhere in the Dominican Republic.
The small tropical garden is simply stunning, creating a peaceful and intimate atmosphere that makes you feel instantly relaxed.
But what truly makes this place exceptional is the owner. The kindness, warmth, and level of service are beyond anything I’ve experienced , genuinely outstanding. On top of that, the restaurant serves absolutely delicious food.
This is a small boutique-style hotel full of charm, but it easily deserves five stars.
Absolutely perfect! nothing to complain about. Highly recommended.

Our stay at Baoruco and Eco Lodge Vista Mar, on the southern coast of the Dominican Republic, was nothing short of exceptional. This property is truly an oasis in the middle of paradise.
The grounds are absolutely immaculate—beautifully maintained, thoughtfully landscaped, and impeccably clean. Every detail reflects care, pride, and respect for the natural beauty that surrounds the property. The atmosphere throughout is peaceful, serene, and visually stunning in every direction.
The hospitality provided by the host, Wolfgang, deserves special recognition. His service is old-world in the very best sense—attentive, gracious, and genuinely warm. This level of care and professionalism is rare and made the entire experience feel elevated and deeply welcoming. The accommodations are equally impressive. The rooms feature rustic, old-world décor that blends beautifully with the environment while offering comfort and elegance. From the property, guests are treated to breathtaking ocean views, pools, and mountain vistas, creating a sense of seclusion and tranquility that is difficult to find.
The food service was outstanding. Meals prepared by Wolfgang and his staff were absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Each dining experience felt personal and thoughtfully crafted, adding yet another layer of excellence to an already remarkable stay.
