We stayed at City Lion by Semavi for 2 nights while exploring the main sights of Heraklion with our two young children (ages 7 and 4), and it was an excellent experience from start to finish.
The apartment was spacious and very well designed, easily accommodating a family. It was fully equipped with everything we needed, including two bathrooms, two double beds, a comfortable living area, and a kitchen that made it easy to have relaxed meals in. A thoughtful touch was the complimentary coffee, milk, and bottled water, which could also be replenished daily.
The reception team were outstanding—extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. They arranged taxis for us when needed and were always available to assist, which made travelling with young children much easier.
The location is also a real highlight. It’s right in the city centre, making it convenient for sightseeing, restaurants, and exploring Heraklion, but set just far enough back that it remains quiet and peaceful at night. The bus station is also within a 15-minute walk, which was very useful for day trips.
Overall, this was a fantastic short stay. It worked perfectly for a family trip, and we would happily recommend it to others. We’d definitely stay here again on a return visit to Heraklion.
