The workers are so rude its crazy the walls were black, sheets had burn holes and smelt like stank bugs... id never ever go back unkess i was desperate worse hotel ive ever been to. Yuck!

Per the hotel.com mostly 3 star reviews we thought this would be an ok stop for one night. You could tell they have been making improvements but the bathroom was dirtier than a gas station public restroom. Also we woke up to a leaking bathroom ceiling and no one in the office to tell about it.
If you look up reviews not on hotels.com it gave a more accurate picture of the hotel. Mostly 1star.

The room was dirty. Water was leaving through the roof no one one wanted to fix it or give us a different room. black mold every where.

Trailway has a microwave for the entire property outside downstairs next to the dryer, washer is inside next to ice machine, there was a big crack in the shower wall, they still use keys for the door with a chain lock, their are dead bolts but the bolt is missing. Saturday night some one blared rap with heavy bass until midnight. There are a lot of long term residents.

Worst experience of my life! Broken toilet seat broken light switches tv didnt work trash under bed it looked like a landfill toilet didnt flush right shower didnt work u either had scalding water or ice cold no in between nasty looked like it hadnt been cleaned since the early 80's sheets had hair on them and not mine stained towels pillows so flat the even double over they were useless rude front desk person i mean at what business do u yell what do u want to a paying customer. If i hadnt already paid for the room beforehand i would have found other lodging i slept n the car it was so disgusting

Staff acted like my presence was unwanted and inconvenient. Waited in the lobby to check-in for almost 10 minutes and had to call the place to finally get someone to come help me. Staff kept arguing with each other about my reservation and other personal matters. Light in the bathroom kept flickering out and the TV didn't work (not that we were given a remote to use it with anyways).

The place is a dump. The tv didn’t work. There was no hot water in the shower. One of the electrical sockets didn’t work. It was noisy all night long. I’m pretty sure there were drugs deals and prostitution going on.

That stench absorbed into all my clothes. The Indian man behind the counter was a very nasty man. When I checked in the clothing rack had not one hanger on it. I had to beg him to give me hangers and he looked at me as though I was going to walk off with them when I leave. I had to hear his lecture about theft.
For many reasons I didn’t stay past the first night. When he went to give me a refund slip for the unused days, it was really for someone else’s credit card. I didn’t realize it at the time. I was totally ripped off for almost $100. Shortly there after, it was under investigation by Expedia and they come to a resolution but it wasn’t to my complete satisfaction. I had threatened to call the police.
Oh, don’t even think about asking this man to wear a mask if he has to come in your room to to fix something. He refuses to wear a mask, PERIOD. There were three windows in the room and all three had exposure to the outside. Peek a boo, we see you!! No privacy.

The people here were great...the room was so comfortable and clean. This is a budget motel, but to me a great one. It would be my go to place to stay if in Fairview Heights again. Close to everything I needed. Thank you Trailway Motel...

A couple of days after staying here i was covered in bed bug bites. Avoid this place.

I had bites in the morning on my legs, and outlets looked like fire hazards, door lock was broken, the sheets was not changed. they did not wash sheets and dont have proper machines to clean laundry. even ice maker was broken. they did not keep their word on a agreement also. Staff was never around. For $10.00 more i stayed at the days inn with beautiful bed and everything in the room, and everything was clean, always staff to help you.at days inn. DONT GO TO TRAILWAYS, DISCUSTING PLACE, FIRE HAZARD , NOT EVEN A ONE STAR HOTEL, ZERO STAR, THEY HAVE BUGS, HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND CODE ENFORCMENT SHOULD GO THERE.

Not sure where to begin.
First the bad:
1. No deadbolt, only a chain on door.
2. Vintage design with cosmetic makeover.
3. Little more than refuge from the weather.
4. Had to stack furniture in line to block door while I tried to sleep.
5. Constant commotion in parking lot & foot traffic outside door.
6. Sketchy neighborhood.
The good:
1. Manager on duty was a really nice lady
2. Price
3. Decent TV
4. Directly across road from convenience store & bus stop.
5. Good shower

Bed was horrible. Not comfortable. Room smelled like smoke. Floor was dirty. Bathroom had cracks in the wall. It was in close proximity to my mom and brother. Thats about it.

The weather was beautiful outside and I was able to have the door open and the fresh air come in and it was nice to be able to look out the door from my room and feel he nice brreazr that came in while I watched tv

For the price paid, the property was not worth it. The linens seem to not have been replaced more than 15 to 20 years. $54.00 you can get a better place to rest your long journey. The property is family-owned and operated by family. So, expect attitudes before checking in.

Very surprising pleasant stay. Older motel by a busy highway. Keys instead of key cards, Lobby definitely needs updated. Rooms are old but comfy.

The bed was comfortable and clean. The room... not so much. The walls were stained and there was a lizard living in the bathroom. As long as you stay in the bed it’s not bad for the money anyway.
