We arrived at 8PM to discover there was no one to check us in. We called multiple times and no return phone call. On the website it states check in until 10PM. We had picked up dinner on the way to check in after a long day of traveling and with all of this and having to find a new place to stay, our dinner was cold.

It was nice and pretty quiet, expect me and my husband had the very end unit only to find a guy sitting under our window early in the morning (2am) and around (6am) mind you, there were about 10 other chairs to sit at, but they chose to sit right under our window and next to our door.

Rooms are set up uniquely. Stove, fridge and microwave available, but no silverware or glasses, dishes, or cooking pans. Sink is across the room from the bathroom, positioned after the kitchen sink. It’s a studio room. Person at the front desk is nice. Didn’t see any ice machine either.

The property was easily accessible and close to the shops near the beach. Only let down was the smell of the room. We had to leave the door open for over an hour when we first got there.

My wife and I booked a room last evening and was refused a room because of our service dog. The owner/manager, who refused to identify himself or his role within the hotel apparently didn’t believe I was handicap enough to have a service dog. When talking about my service dog, he said “I’m going to be honest, I don’t think she’s really a service dog.” After hearing that, I immediately offered documentation to prove she is a legal and registered service animal and he refused to look at the paperwork. He said “I don’t need to look at that.” There were no other hotels available in the area due to a holiday weekend and I was forced to sleep in the car. Do NOT rent or stay at this hotel as they believe they get to decide who is disabled and deserving of a service animal regardless of your service dog’s documentation. Completely infuriating, illegal, and unprofessional! He never saw the dog, she stayed in the car during check in and he claimed I should have called ahead to specifically report having a service animal and could not honor his reservation.

Property was in a decent location but definitely a party town vibe. Facility had a dated bathroom but was very clean. The door to our room didn’t have a great seal and you could see light coming in from underneath and around it. Our first night staying there was a concert and some of the guests were very loud and disrespectful to other guests. Not the hotels fault but just be aware that it’s a party town. The hotel is also not beachfront as suggested in the description. The king bed was extremely comfortable and soft, the best part of the stay.

The room was nice it was one of the corner rooms without a real window. I wouldnt stay in that exact room again. The place was clean the staff was extremely nice. The place ilis a good price and a short walk to the beach. I will stay again

I contacted the hotel to let them know we would be checking in a little later in the evening. The owner was waiting for our arrival and was very nice. The hotel has been updated with fresh paints, new floors and new, comfortable beds. IWe could see where other rooms are currently being remodeled. It was very clean. The bathroom was very small in our room but clean and updated. The sink is right outside of the bathroom. It appears to be just cold water but it got hot after letting the hot water faucet run a little bit. The room included a cute little refrigerator and microwave. I would definitely stay again!

Great stay! While the hotel is a little dated, they have obviously done some renovations that seem to be ongoing. Check in was smooth and easy and the front desk staff were lovely- and very accommodating when we asked for a late check out! Room was very clean and comfortable. Great place to stay in Hampton- quiet and off the main road, yet easy to walk to everything. Thank you for a great weekend!

Not having travelled to Hampton, NH before, I was very concerned to arrive at the Royal Crest office to find it empty and the door locked! Fortunately, as I stood outside wondering what to do, a man walked by and said “Don’t worry, the same thing happened to me upon arrival. Just wait, they’ll appear soon.” As a solo female traveler, this information was re-assuring; but I wondered WHY this same information could not have been posted in the window if not sent with the reservation confirmation. The proprietor/property manager did eventually appear several minutes later to unlock the office and give me a key to a room. BTW the explanation for the empty, locked office? It’s no longer tourist season.

We had an excellent stay at the Royal Crest Inn. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Everything we needed was within walking distance. We stayed during the Seafood Fest and location couldn’t have been better. Management was friendly and accommodating, they gave us a late checkout upon our last minute request and let us keep our cars parked in their lot after checkout to continue walking around. Would definitely stay here again!

Staff was phenomenal. Cleaning staff emptied our trash while out and left an oyster in our room? Confusing, but our room was cool so we just chucked it outside. Only dirty part of the room was behind the beds under the head boards. It would be nice to have a small broom and dustpan in the rooms to sweep the floor during stay as sand easily gets tracked in from being our and about. No other issues. None. Pillows were nice and firm, beds were comfortable. Spacious rooms (not a sardine can). Booked for my moms birthday weekend and she was over the moon about our stay here especially since where we used to stay has new owners so we started trying new places last year and last year was a very unpleasant experience i promised this yeat her birthday weekend wluldnt be ruined by where we stayed for the seafood festival. Would recommend to anyone (we had 3 adults and one 5yr old in room) 2 adults in the other bother rooms with 2 queens

Not enough plugs near the beds. Do not like the double parking, because of the fear of not being able to get or lift my back to get items out if someone behind me. Other rooms in our party were upgraded and nice, but not ours.

Everything but the bed sheets could have used improvement. The doors to the rooms lacked deadbolts and were mostly glass - not a beacon of safety. Rooms were extremely dated and not clean. Not sure how this was highly rated by others.
