The rooms were spotless and update. However, the walls are very thin and we could even hear snoring from another room. No kleenex in the room and we had to ask for washcloths. We had told by the nice clerk the night before that someone was in our parking spot and she said it was not a problem that we couldn't park there. The next day we were told by another clerk (possibly the owner?)we were in the wrong parking spot and had to move. There was no table for the outside chairs on the patio and we took the small one from the room and used it. We came back to find it gone and were concerned that it might be stolen and be charged for a missing table. The next day we were told by the same clerk/owner? we weren't supposed to use any indoor furniture outside and was then brought an outside table for our use. The hotel website said the pool would be open until October 31st and it was not and the weekend we stayed it could have been utilized. We were also chastised for smoking outside of our room. Nothing was noted that no smoking was allowed on the property. We knew, as in most cases, not to smoke in a room. We were not happy about being chastised for our behavior as we are professional people. Also, the cost of the room was very expensive for an offseason rate. We are paying customers not children to be told what we can and cannot do. This hotel is not on our top priority list for future stays.

Very pleasantly surprised! Super close to our show at the Hampton Ballroom and several places to eat. Our room was nice, clean and the bed was super comfy. Will definitely book again.

Really enjoyed our short stay here. The only advice I would like to share is to book an upstairs room. We could here the neighbours above us walking in the room. A little annoying but apart from that 10/10!

We arrived late and they were very accommodating. When we walked in the room was specious, cheerful, clean and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable! There was plenty of room for clothes and other items with a creative open closet. Great walk in shower with lovely toiletries and wonderful water pressure. Two things to mention- if you don’t want an overstuffed pillow, grab one to bring and there is very little counter space in the bathroom but those are minimal compared to all the plusses. We will be back!

I was not exactly sure what to expect, but what a find. The hotel is older, but well kept up and updated. My room was beautiful and had a microwave and fridge. The staff was lovely and provided little things i didn’t have. Walking distance to the beach and shopping. The only downside is if you have noisy neighbors you will hear them.

Nice staff and comfy bed. Awful parking and you can hear every word of your neighbors. Also rowdy guests allowed to party in parking lot. Probably wouldn’t stay again.

Would stay again. Nice modern room and bathroom. Nice pool. Only drawback we needed to leave at 8:10 and the office still wasn’t open even though office hours start at 8 am. Same staffing issues as most places and there was a hurricane coming so ….Would still stay again without hesitation. Great location

We've stayed up and down the strip both on Ocean Ave and Ashworth. This is by far the best hotel on the beach. The room was beautifully renovated and very clean. The bed was great and the shower was amazing. Add in a sparkling pool and only 1 block from the beach. You can't beat the Surf House!

My husband and I will definitely be going back next year. Had a great stay. Everything was walking distance which was very convenient. The room worked out great for just the two of us. It was on the smaller side but clean.

My stay was very nice. The room was nice but a little tight but manageable Room was clean as well as the entire area. . I was scheduled to check in on Aug 6th and when I was checking in I was told I was supposed to be there on Aug 5th I realize my reservation had the wrong date but he was nice enough to accommodated me All went well in the end

The only negatives for us were the offsite parking was a little inconvenient and our room was small. Not sure if all rooms were the same size… Otherwise we loved the property! It appears to be newly renovated, the beds and pillows were super comfortable and the shower was awesome! Although not beachfront the location is great. Just a short walk to the beach and close to all the fun in town in the evenings. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Easy to walk to beach from here. Had to park in an off-site lot about a block from the hotel. Walls are very thin, could hear people chatting next door and going up the staircase near the door. Thankfully was quiet since stayed here middle of the week.

My wife and I took our twin toddlers to Hampton beach and we stayed at The Surf house. The pool is great and it's definitely the best location to be in. Couldn't be in a better spot. Close enough to everything, yet set back enough to come back and relax. The hotel is newly furnished and is decorated very nicely. We loved to details and style of the room. This was our first time to the area and we'll be back and staying at this hotel when we do!

Surf House was great! Great value and location. Off site parking was a breeze. About one block away and right next to the police station. Check in and out was incredibly easy. Rooms are newly renovated. I will definitely be back.
