Achalocan House is the perfect place to stay in Skye. The location is peaceful and a great home base to explore the isle. The apartment is immaculately clean, super stylish, and comfortable… so comfortable that it’s hard to get up in the morning and be motivated to tour Skye! You want to cozy up to a warm cup of coffee or tea and stay in. Our hosts Simón and Sara are one of the bests we’ve met. Their suggestions and recommendations are spot on, and made our stay more fun and made the best of our visit. They are authentically warm, helpful and enjoy doing what they do. We would love to return to Skye and if we do, then we’ll be back to the Achalochan House.

Cosy, quiet, rural with a lovely outlook. Breakfast was amazing and Simon and Sara were the best hosts.

Beautiful, well maintained and comfortable property with very friendly hosts - Simon and Sara who gave us fresh homemade bread in the morning. They also gave us good food and sightseeing recommendations. Location is about 30 mins drive from Portree (city) but that was ok for us as we prefer a quieter place.
Timing restriction for laundry (from 8am to 8pm only)due to guests staying in the other units.
