I was a little nervous about this one given some of the poor reviews but in the event it was a great wee place. Yes, it is quite tired and aspects could do with the deep clean or refresh but that's reflected in the price. At the end of the day the bedding was fresh, the cutlery and glasses were clean as was the majority of the property. It was well placed for walking into Melrose via the disused railway line at the back of the house. A great location for exploring the borders so I would recommend. Plenty of safe parking within a stone's throw.

Spacious and comfortable.

The property needs a thorough clean. More disappointing was the lack of reference on the Booking.com site to the location of the bathroom downstairs....a good way from the principal bedroom. As for the "outdoor dining area" and "patio", this was a total misrepresentation of what was actually available. There are no acceptable outdoor facilities. These comments are made with reference to the Booking. com site through which we booked.
