We chose to lose the money rather than stay in this apartment.

Unfortunately, the experience was far worse than the photos and listing description suggest. Although the location may look attractive at first glance, in practice it is a terrible place to stay if you expect rest, comfort, or quiet. There is a street market right in front of the building almost every day, creating constant noise, heavy foot traffic, and disruption directly outside the apartment. Another serious issue is security. Access to the building is far too open, with no proper control and no dedicated code-secured entrance for guests. Once you rent the apartment, you quickly realize that movement inside the building feels uncontrolled. This made us extremely uncomfortable. The apartment also does not match the “new” impression shown in the photos. There are clear and significant signs of wear, poor maintenance, and functional problems. One of the windows does not work properly, and the windows are not soundproof. Given that the apartment faces a busy street market, this is a major problem. The worst issue, however, was the strong and persistent smell of cigarette smoke inside the apartment. The listing describes the property as non-smoking, but that is simply not accurate. The smell was intense. For anyone with allergies or respiratory sensitivity, staying there is practically impossible. Because of all this, we decided to leave the apartment, even knowing that we would not receive a refund. We preferred to lose the money rather than spend our stay in such an uncomfortable and unhealthy place. In short: the apartment is much worse than it appears in the photos, the location is problematic in real life, the security is poor, the maintenance is inadequate, and the cigarette smell makes the stay unacceptable for anyone sensitive to smoke. For this place to be considered merely “bad,” it would first need to improve a lot.

Good place and perfect location for Rome centre

Host Ike was very friendly and nice, accomodating and helpful. Location A+ and the front room view and light was perfect.

Place could use a refresh, a coat of paint and a little care. Some parts of the house are quite dark and dingy.

Perfect stay in the center of Rome

Our stay of a few days in this apartment in Rome was absolutely perfect – location, design, comfort. The apartment is right in the heart of the historic districts, on a lively square with restaurants. The noise from the square was not an issue thanks to excellent double glazing, air conditioning, and the bedroom overlooking an inner courtyard. From the apartment, you can walk everywhere and easily visit all the main sights of Rom

L’emplacement était très bien , 20/25min à pied du Vatican et 20 minutes des arènes Tous les commerces et restaurants à nos pieds et le personnel très réactif à nos questions .
