This hotel was exactly as pictured/described. The location was excellent...so close to all the major sites in Reykjavik and so many shops and restaurants. If you are looking for a luxury hotel, this is NOT it, but if you want really comfortable, clean beds, and shower/bathroom facilities (they are shared/in the hallway as advertised) and the room comes with a towel, as well as free luggage storage this was a perfect option..we stayed here before and after a backpacking trip in the Highlands. I would suggest staying here as a transition place and probably not for the a week/weeks at a time during your stay in Iceland. Also, it is about a 15-20 minute walk to the BSI Bus Terminal where many tours and transfers are. They also have free coffee/tea, earplugs, and use of a microwave, as well as tables, etc in the main room for eating/games.
Overall very adequate. We were happy. There is not an elevator, so be prepared to go up some stairs to the rooms.

The shower rooms are small, the shower was clogged, the pillow was too small.
