The Lodge was lovely and in a pretty, peaceful setting. Very comfy and well looked after. It looked very new, as did the towels/bedding. The main bedroom was a great size with a big shower ensuite and the twin room was ample. Main bathroom had a full size bath as well as over head shower.
WiFi was spot on, TV had a good selection of channels, great outdoor space (shame about the good old English summer weather!) With comfy seating and the all important Hot tub which was well maintained.
The park itself was also very well looked after and in a good location. Perhaps 12 minutes drive max to flamingo land, 2 minutes drive to the Chinese restaurant/takeaway/pub, and 10 mins drive to Malton (which is a fab little town!).
Would have been good to provide a couple of extra dish washer tablets.
The hot tub area could do with screening similar to the other lodges to give privacy.
Totally appreciate storage is a premium in a lodge, but the wardrobes could have had the necessities stored better. In the twin room we had to move all of the cushions to fit clothes in (perhaps they could have been better placed under the beds?) and in the main wardrobe spare duvets, linen and pillows were left in front of draws instead of being stored on the upper shelves. Totally minor but after a long day it was annoying to have to move this stuff on arrival.

The outdoor / indoor space was great. Location was really nice and quiet.
The kettle required a major descale as was filthy, hi- chair back was not fit for purpose and straps were dirty. There was all dirt in between cushions on sofa and needed good clean, aswell as hot tub cover was filthy too. All this is not great when you want to feed your 1year old his bottle or food. Not really sure either why customers have to strip the beds as I thought the accommodation had cleaners!!
