Lovely stay in Hiriketiya. About a 15 minute walk from the beach and main stretch of shops and restaurants. The owners were very friendly and even offered to teach us to surf.
It it a shared bathroom (sharing with the other room) without hot water, but the bathroom was clean and we didn’t have any issues. Would definetly still recommend

La casa è perfetta se si cerca un homestay. I genitori di riko ti fanno sentire come parte della famiglia e ti vengono incontro ad ogni esigenza. La struttura è leggermente fuori dalla zona con più movimento ma è perfetta perché si riesce a stare in tranquillità ed in soli 5 minuti di camminata si arriva alle spiagge ed alle zone con maggior numero di ristoranti e vita notturna. Nonostante avessi la macchina per 3 giorni non l'ho mossa perché raggiungevo tutto a piedi. Solo un giorno ho sfruttato il padre di riko (che ha un tuk tuk e fa servizio taxi) per spostarmi a 15 minuti di strada di distanza per fare surf in una piccola baia. Avendo prenotato solo per due notti ma aggiungendo e una terza all'ultimo secondo ho provando sia la stanza con bagno privato che quella al piano di sopra con bagno e cucina in comune ad un altra stanza ed erano tutte e due perfette.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The beach is a 10 minute walk away, but therefore the area is 100% quiet. The AC works perfect. The property and my room were super tidy and clean. The owner is very friendly and helpful!

By Arrival the mother of the owner did the check in. She is really sweet and tried to help us as much as possible!
Room is big and clean. Good working AC.
Evert morning the mother made us Nice tea.
Of we come back to Hiriketiya, we definitely come back to Riko House!
It is a 15 minute walk to hiriketiya Beach and Dikwella Beach. For us not a problem at all, it is a safe and pleasant walk!
