Check-in was a bit rough (online check-in didn't work properly, digital key didn't issue properly) but otherwise a good stay. Well-kept clean property. Great location for visiting UIUC.

The staff was great and the hotel is clean and fresh looking. I believe the hotel listing was misleading as it listed pool and hottub, the staff indicated the hottub has been filled in awhile ago. In addition, the beds were not particularly comfortable being over firm and a bit lumpy.

Paid for the suite with a sofa bed so my son can sleep on it.. asked them 3 times to get me bedding for it. Finally got them 6 hours after checked in.

The best thing about the is hotel is the location. Walking distance to the campus was a huge plus. Rooms are reasonably spacious, the breakfast was average and the staff were uniformly friendly

The hotel room felt like it had not been updated since the 1980s. The TV was old school, the a/c made a whirring sound the entire night, and also smelled like the filter had never been changed. One of the front desk staff members was complaining about her week and about another member of the staff. The bathroom smelled damp. The toilet tissue felt like it was single ply (very rough).

The room itself was fine for the price. The staff was cordial but did not seem to know what was going on. Waited at the counter for a half an hour just for them to tell us our rooms were not ready. When we came back after the timeline given the rooms were still not ready. Once we finally got into the room it was ok.

The HVAC in the room doesn't work with its thermostat. There was water leak in the toilet sometimes, but nobody came for service even after requesting at the front desk. There was no refrigerator in my company's room. They said some rooms don't have them. After my company ask for it two times, the maintenance brought it. Breakfast was good.

Basically, a fine overnight. Facility and staff pleasant. Not many restaurant or food choices very close, especially the near-front door “Perkins” restaurant which was closed, according to hotel staff, almost a month ago for Health department reasons. ?????

It needs updated and aired out and the amount they charge on busy weekends is terrible and shameful especially for what you get. You are being taken advantage of because they know you are desperate to find a place to stay when visiting your children on special weekends like graduation, etc.

We reserved and paid for the room. We also checked online ahead of arrival and even called the hotel to let them know we were arriving late. When we arrived, our room was not available. We paid for a room with two beds as we were three people. They gave us a terrible cot for my son who could not sleep. It was his college orientation visit. We are sorry we booked this particular hotel.

We made our reservation (thru expedia) for 3 adults and a queen bed plus pull out couch. When we checked in the person at the desk admitted to giving our room away and gave us a room with only one bed. We requested a portable bed or pull out couch and he said he didn't have one so one adult was forced to sleep on the floor. When we talked to the front desk the next day, they had a roll away bed brought up to the room, then changed our room to one with two beds so the remaining nights we each had a bed to sleep in (this was good). The hotel said they would reimburse us partially for the first night's stay since we didn't have enough bed space, but they charged us more instead. We got them to remove the additional charge after much work and calling the headquarters. Overall, it has been a nightmare dealing with them and their customer service is aweful. We contacted expedia the night we didn't get a room for 3 adults - expedia has since ghosted us. Additionally, the manager at the hotel told us we should not book this hotel through expedia if we want to get the room we booked and paid for.

I have nothing but great things to say about the Hampton Inn at Chmpaign / Urbana. The front desk clerk was so pleasant and helpful and even offered a free upgrade ( I was a Hilton Honors member). We were able to check in early and even get a room at a higher floor upon request. The room was clean and very comfortable. The location was perfect. Easy walk to campus and not too far from downtown Champaign. The breakfast was very good and many items to choose from. I will definitely stay here again !

We stayed at the property as out of towners stranded due to car repair. The hotel was overbooked due to some rooms being down (boiler) but they provided us a good option to extend our stay so we wouldn't have to move. We really appreciated the help! Thank you Sandy and Rose (and the whole friendly staff).

No pool for the entire weekend. My Room was located right beside the Meeting Room, it was insanely loud at 7:00 am sharp. Every day.

Check in was ok. The staff didn't give us our complementary water during check in. Although she gave the other guest his water. I have to ask the other staff who was there at night when we got back from dinner.

I stayed at this Hampton inn before several times. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are always clean. I was a little disappointed this time around with the breakfast selection. I know it’s not supposed to be gourmet, but not a lot of choices as there were in the past…

Their breakfast selection was great. But no microwave or mini fridge in the room was disappointing. Also, the pictures of the pool area should be updated as they took out the whirlpool/hot tub. It is misleading, I would've liked to relax and picked this hotel because I thought they had one.
