Heads up! Its very hot in the rooms and within the facility. Bed very uncomfortable and just hot. No ceiling fan in bedroom. Only wall cooler that does not keep the whole place cool enough. Would hate to see how hot this place in the summertime ugh!

We really enjoyed the location and the hotel. I do wish the beds were more comfy. Woke up to a stiff back. Coming from staying at a Best Western Plus the night before, I thought these beds would be same caliber, but they were not great. Other downside is there is not enough hot water to even take a bath. Couldn’t get a 1/3 of the way filled up before water started to get cold. That was a bummer. Luckily, we were just staying one night. If they fix that issue, the place is not bad. I really liked the size of the suite. Very comfortable sized space for 2 people and a dog.

I love our room (333). It is spacious with a separate living room with a TV. Bedroom has a fireplace, another TV, microwave & fridge. It is modern too with wood flooring. Breakfast is ordinary but coffee machine is great. All in all, i wont hesitate to come back.

Our check in person was a male who said very little other than there’s a $100 deposit. No guidance where to go really anything said. I ask so when is breakfast, he answered. As a business owner myself, its mediocre service. To top if off, our weekend stay was filled with a youth soccer tournament with parents drinking in the eating area and kids playing soccer down our hallway on the 3rd floor at 10:30pm. Lots of kids running around all over so I’m hoping its not like that at other weekends. I am not a stickler of these things but darn I wanted rest. Glad I brought my sounds machine.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Room was spacious, good shower, beds were comfy and had nice sheets. Convenient location. Our room (214) shared a wall with the ice machine and many people were retrieving ice during our stay. Parking spots were tiny and there was a $10 charge per day for parking - large SUVs are a challenge. Nice to have a continental breakfast. They ran out of some things and there was only one coffee dispenser.

the property couldn’t find my reservation, then they didn’t stock the hotel with towels and asked that i coke downstairs to get towels. i was already wet in the shower. i’m 6 months pregnant and wet from the shower without a towel. I wish i could get a refund or at least funds to go to another hotel. Trash. wouldn’t recommend this place. Also their tvs flicker

Had a weekend girls trip for a friends birthday and stayed here during our visit to Santa Cruz. At a glance our room seemed clean but upon further inspection our bath tub was VERY YELLOW. You could clearly see stains from build up from not cleaning the shower floor. They don't offer house keeping services unless you request it. It's pointless using the phone to call front desk for extra towels or amenities, so make sure you go straight to front desk, that way you're not waiting over half the day for the things you requested. Staff was kind but I'd make sure to inspect the rooms and have them clean the tub and sinks before use.

Hotel seemed very short staffed this time we stayed. We were there for 3 nights and our room never got cleaned or freshened up even after requesting fresh towels. Breakfast was still good though! Got breakfast with eggs, sausage or bacon, waffles, yogurt, fruit, cereal and bagels.

Our room was very dirty. We didn’t even feel comfortable walking around without shoes on. There was a 6 hour wait for fresh/clean towels. No room/cleaning service unless asked for multiple times. The staff were not rude, but definitely not helpful. Wanted to charge us $25 for checking in 20 minutes early even though our room was ready. I understand that Covid messed up this type of service industry, but this place was on a whole new level of being unprepared to serve their guests. The morning breakfast was probably the only redeeming quality - everyone very satisfied. I would look elsewhere for my next visit to Santa Cruz.

We checked in on 7/2/23 at around 6 pm. When we got into our room, there were no pillows on our bed at all and there were pillow cases on the floor. There were also no toiletries in the bathroom. We called the receptionist and they told us that they will bring it to us. We called several times and no one came. Finally around 8 pm my husband went down to get our toiletries which they earlier told us that they will bring to our room. We also found out that there were no more pillows for us to use. They told us that some of the guest asked for more pillows. We are on a vacation with 2 small kids and we drove almost 8 hrs. All we want on our first night is to have a good night rest. We paid in full for a Suite Room with 1 King Bed for 3 nights which clearly states that pillows were included in the room. It was past 10 PM already when they were able to find 2 small pillows for a family of four to use. What a terrible way to start our vacation.

When we checked in we went to our assigned room and the room was not cleaned at all from the previous guest. We waited in the room after telling the housekeeping manager for 25 minutes then a housekeeper got to cleaning and our room was ready in around 35 minutes. We then left the hotel for an event we were attending upon returning there wasn’t any parking spaces in the parking garage that we paid for so we had to park about a quarter mile down the street, we then asked the front desk if the manager could call us in the morning so we could get a refund for the parking he chuckled and said okay and we never got a call in the morning. After breakfast we then asked the front desk for a refund on the parking and he said okay no problem, I asked him again if the parking was refunded and he said yes it was. When we got back home we checked the bill and the parking fee was still charged. We weren’t trying to make a big deal of the situation but the lack of care from management was surprising. The housekeeper who cleaned our room was apologetic and did her job, even tho it was not her mistake.

The city was great, but unfortunately after our late check-in after spending time at the beach, the hotel AND OUR HOTEL ROOM was so FREEZING COLD, we could not even stand it. Of course we immediately called the services desk and it took unfortunately a while for someone to even come to try to look at the air. And that was after two more calls within 2 hours, by the evening and maintenance person finally came and they did not know how to fix it or even know the new unit according to them which was different from the downstairs units AC. Unfortunately we all spent the night freezing... my two kids caught a cold of course and that was that. Beautiful hotel though and very kind and helpful breaks staff.

Everything was pleasant, we enjoyed our stay and breakfast was great. The only downside was a gentleman at the reception desk, he needs to work on his customer service, in my opinion he needs to be more welcoming and friendly. I also asked for a couple more towels and he said they were out of towels 😕

Overall was a great stay! My partner and I enjoyed the breakfast provided each morning and were very pleased with the stay. The only downside was our second night as we came back from the boardwalk, there was ABSOLUTELY no parking. We called front office and were met with what sounded like an annoyed teenage boy who had zero customer service skills. We had to park down the street and walk up to our hotel and as we walked in to speak with front desk a woman was behind the desk who immediately said “I don’t work here! But don’t worry I can help you two out.” She even said the worker would be back in a second. We were very weirded out by this and instead went up to our room. That was probably the only incident we had there.
