I had a nice stay. Brought my daughters for a girls adventure. They enjoyed the pool and were very comfortable in the suite. Only thing I didn’t like was having to walk so far to park my car at night because there were no-more spaces in the main parking lot. It didn’t feel safe having to walk with two little girls late night like that…

Check in was 4pm. We didn't get a room until 5pm & that was only because after waiting that hour, I went up and asked what was being comped considering we had just driven 12 hours with 3 kids. They finally got us in a room after that. The reason given to us for the delay was for "extra cleaning" however there was hair all over the shower & bathroom. When house keeping came halfway thru the trip, that still was not cleaned up and they left us with no toilet paper. The breakfast buffet was also not great. Didn't matter what time we got there, they were out of most things. But it's free so whatever. The location of the hotel is great, the beds were comfy. That's about all I can say about it.

The tvs are not smart tvs. There was construction happening everyday, very loud. Not dirty but not clean. Just ok. Breakfast not good but free. The cinnamon rolls are great the rest is yucky. The pool was gross but kids don’t mind. Stairways filthy and one cockroach found in our room. That is to be expected in the south but still unnerving.

we were pleasantly surprised with how nice the accommodations were for our weekend getaway. We've stayed in several different VA beach ocean front hotels and all have been less than impressive. The cleanliness and updates here were top notch.

The pool was way smaller than expected. The breakfast was pretty decent but you may have to wait in line for it. The bed wasn’t really comfortable and I woke up with my neck hurting and the air conditioning was difficult to get to a pleasant degree. The toilet didn’t really work properly but it still was a pretty decent hotel. They didn’t allow late check out and didn’t any extra towels and wash cloths but apparently it was a employee issue on why they couldn’t

After a day out, I arrived back to the hotel around 11 pm. There were no parking spaces available in the lot. There were also a few cars in the lot that did not have guest tags. When I went to the desk to inquire, I was told I had to go about two blocks away to a lot to park my car and walk back. I am a woman, ‘of a certain age’ and was traveling solo. I expressed that I was not comfortable doing that. I also shared that there appeared to be non-guests taking up some spots. The man at the desk simply repeated that I should go park in the other lot and walk back. In regards to the alleged non-guests, he just said “I guess we’ll have to check that out”. When I again said that I was not comfortable walking alone down a dark street at that hour, he just told me again that I had to go to the other lot. Thankfully, a young lady behind the desk heard our conversation and volunteered to go to the lot and walk back with me. I think that asking an older, female, solo traveler to walk down a dark street at 11pm by herself is unacceptable. I paid enough for my stay to expect that I would have a parking space in the lot.

Overall services average. Hotel is very nice and clean room very small. It is in the 30s outside. And they had the hallways AC on. Temperatures was reading 64 in the hallway. When I asked the night front desk clerk to turn the heat on, he told me he can do anything about it, it is management. In the morning going on the pool room was absolutely free. A game when I asked the daytime clerk, she called me it is on auto. That was a lie. Thermostat clearly read AC on. Slide on the side was not on heat. The fact that they lie really bothered me. It tells me how much they don't care about their guests.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights. The first day we were in the room until 11:30 am waiting for hot water, the second day we check out without taking a bath because there was no hot water. The excuse on the first day was that the hotel was at full capacity and all the guests were bathing at the same time. On the second day they determined that there were mechanical problems.

Stayed at this hotel recently after staying here a couple of years ago, and I can really tell the difference since then! The renovations to this place has really elevated the look and feel of this hotel. The room we stayed in was absolutely beautiful. My only gripe is the parking lot. It is very small and very difficult to navigate around. I would recommend they renovate that next!

The hotel and our room were very clean! There were a few small things - housekeeping cleared our trash but forgot a bag one morning, the check-in process seemed unnecessarily analog (filling out forms by hand for contact information they must have already had) and breakfast was hit or miss, but it was a great place to stay. There was enough of a breakfast selection that we could avoid the poor items and our room was great.

We selected this hotel based on good reviews on Hotels.com. We wanted a quiet 2 nights weekend. It didn't happened. A front desk assistant gave us a room on the 2nd floor just above this hotel's outdoor seating area where people were making a lot of noise. We couldn't sleep until these people left the area. The following morning, I talked with the same person who gave us this room about our experience. She said she didn't know it was a loud location, although her manager said he knew it was a noisy place. The manager gave us another room forr the 2nd night, but no refund for spoiled night and no apology.

The room was clean and comfortable with a nice view of the beach. I didn’t like the limited parking available. I had to walk a block away for additional parking because the lot was small and full. We ran out of hot water the Sunday morning we checked out.

I liked the great staff & the breakfast was wonderful! I wish the back door could be left open longer so I could have put my feet in the ocean the night I came in from Chicago. However I did appreciate safety & security for all customers as well as staff!

This hotel was so accommodating! I requested a specific room due to my 92 yr old mother. I booked online. When I called to check they were well aware of it and made it happen. I have nothing to say but great things. the breakfast is fantastic! the servers were great and everyone was super friendly. What impressed me most was the gentleman cleaning the lobby. Several times a day I caught him sweeping and cleaning the lobby. Mostly was impressed the wiping down of all furniture and tables. He did a great job--not just a rush thru get it done. He was a hard worker. Thankful especially during covid ramping back up. You will not be disappointed in this hotel.

We loved everything about the hotel -- it is very clean and close to everything. Our room was very comfortable -- we didn't want to leave! And everyone was very nice to us. Our only complaint was parking. We parked in the main lot once then the next night had to park in the #2 lot then the last night had to park in the 3rd lot at the end of 26th street and had to walk to the hotel after midnight. We did not feel safe doing that and didn't like not being able to see our car. There were very large pick up trucks parked in the main lot taking up a lot of room. We feel the trucks need to be parked in the additional lots to make room for the rest of us.

Great hotel super clean great location good breakfast. Only problem was the staff at check in was unfriendly and didn’t tell us our room number wifi code breakfast time or inadequate parking at the hotel and offsite location. They called us late while we were in bed at night to move our car to an offsite location. We took up issue with the hotel but they were rude and told me it was my job to ask where to park if it was full. All other staff were pleasant but as they are the lobby staff that main people you encounter they need to step up their game with being helpful friendly and courteous. Good hotel otherwise

Parking wasn’t explained well. Since there isn’t enough parking on site there are overflow lots that are half the parking but are easy to misinterpret. We parked at 10:00 PM so in the dark Our car was towed even with a hotel sign on visor and right next to correct slits. The tow company said that they tow vehicles miss parked for Holiday Inn Express frequently. This cost us 165.00. Obviously happens a lot. Need better instruction or hotel employee to show the correct lots
