The hotel was mobbed. Had cheer/basketball competition which caused the place to be full. Not being with that crowd caused us to be almost forgotten about. It was hard to get service.

The hotel staff was not particularly friendly or helpful. We needed a few personal otems that we had forgotten. We asked the front desk if they had any. Come to find out the bathroom, about 10 feet from the front desk had everything we needed. Instead the front desk staff sent me to the closest store about 10 minutes away. The pool had a bunch of broken tiles around and the curtain trying to make the tiny room window look bigger were just not great. The beds were very comfy and the room was very clean. So housekeeping is on top of it, but the front desk, meh.

Upon check-in, the poor man quiet but kind, and was overwhelmed. Our room was not labeled with a room number. Opened door, the room stunk of wet dog. Bed were clean, thankfully. Bathroom trash had trash in it, there was some gunk on the wall. Tub didn’t drain well. Toilet didn’t flush well. Remote to tv felt sticky. Lights and outlets worked. Was not noisy. Pool and hottub were green. Area was disgusting. Door was popped open by a wet foot sign. Floor had hair and dirt and ants all over. Several areas of what look like mold, black in color, especially near hottub. Did not smell like chlorine, hottub had a rank odor like feces in one corner. Pile not access doors with key card, used main entrance, seen side doors propped open. Floors wet in lobby from pool. Man working evening was incredibly kind. Towels were scarce, had asked for extras that never came. Carpets in hallways were dirty and not vacuumed. Elevator made weird sounds. Overall, front desk staff pleasant. Hotel disgusting needs to be cleaned, pool and hottub were disgusting. Bathroom in with pool was very dirty. I’ve stayed in a lot of Hampton Inns and this by far was the worst one I’ve ever stayed in. We will not be back. I feel like due to conditions we should only have to pay half of what we did. I know this is definitely not the representation the Hilton company stands by. I should have stayed next at the Marriott on the other side of the bridge, price was comparable.

This hotel has really lost its mojo.
Nothing's a total show stopper, but it's very tired and dated, and often just can't be bothered. Some aspects felt more like student accommodation or a hostel rather than a 3★ hotel.
My room was on the third floor, but the tiny single window in the corner meant that it was always very gloomy and needed the lights on, even in the daytime. It didn't help that the blind obscured the top quarter of the window.
Several TV news channels were pixelated or frozen, presumably because a satellite dish was too small or misaligned.
There was no room service (only every other day) so the towels were not changed and the coffee supplies were not replenished.
Breakfast offered a very limited and uninspiring choice. There isn't even a proper breakfast room, just a few tables in the lobby area where an irritating TV droned away, its unwatched quiz show competing with the background piped music.
Cereals were all individually packaged and all the cutlery and crockery was disposable, resulting in mountains of waste, environmentally most unfriendly. The flimsy plastic forks were almost useless.
The hotel can be hard to find because there's no totem, just an anonymous 'Enter' sign: the signage on the building can be obscured by trees.
There were a few plus points: the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet and it was easy for guests to shut the self-closing doors without them slamming noisily.
Overall verdict: Urgent refurb, then 'Must Try Harder'.

I am not impressed at all in fact I’m very upset,I rented this room for a friend & her husband because she had a important appointment in Portland,when they got there TJ check in the man at the desk said he could not find the reservation,after he did finally find it he told them that my card was declined for payment & that is NOT TRUE ,I have the PROOF from my bank that it was withdrawn on the date that I booked this room February 28,3024 so they had to pay for the room!! I will be notifying someone today about this,I’m so upset & will NEVER use Hotel.Com again!!

The guy at the front desk didn’t ask my name and then gave me the wrong persons booking. The room smelt of stale smoke and the floors covered with crumbs. Walls dirty and mold around bathroom tub. The bed was uncomfortable as well. The only good thing was the distance from everything was excellent. Pool room and hot tub in need of a lot of work and the breakfast was average.

Location is great, right next to the mall! But they need to do some updating. We stayed here last year and things seemed seem to have gone down hill. The pool area needs a serious scrub down, there is algae growing on the walls & ceiling. The rooms are comfortable but need some up keep. Overall, not bad for the price, but could be better!

First room had no fire alarm and room phone did not work. Second room they moved us to had a fire alarm, room phone did not work, empty used water bottle on shelf in bathroom, did not look vaccumed. The front desk attendant was AMAZING with her customer service. But the uncleanliness of the room and the AC making HORRIBLE noises, we would not return nor recommend.

I arrived at approximately 3:30pm Saturday afternoon on 12/30/23. I parked directly in front of the main entrance. Before I even got out of my car, I noticed a trash can that was overflowing with garbage and there was a large amount of trash scattered around the trash container on the ground. I came and left the hotel several times over two days and always parked in the same immediate parking area. When I left the hotel on 1/1/24 around 11:15am-the trash was still there. My traveling companion had their own car which we left parked in the same area after we checked out and drove in my car over to the mall across the street. We returned about 75 minutes later and the parking area was now completely empty, and the trash was still there-even more visible due to the empty parking spaces. I guess the squirrels can continue to explore the trash for any tasteful nuggets that might still be laying around in the trash.
Also, I needed a pen and went to the front desk to request one and the woman told me it was the only pen they had behind the desk. She me gave a piece of paper & the pen. I guess they no longer feel guests might find it useful to have a pen & pad of paper in the rooms nowadays.
I went to the pool -there were no towels. I went to the front desk to ask if they could provide a couple towels & the same front desk person really made it clear it was inconvenient & would take at least 5 minutes. 25 minutes later & they never brought towels. Glad I wore my robe.

The beds were very loud, uncomfortable & small. Every time my husband Moved he woke us all up. When we first walked in the room it had an old musty smell. The room was clean but very outdated. Breakfast tasted good & staff was friendly the area was clean. The pool and hot tub area with outdated, yellow rust stains on the wall. The vent next to the hot tub was brown as full of rust and dust and looked like it would fall off. The ceiling has green in many spots. Missing so tiles in spots around the room. The bathroom door casing was also rusted badly in pool area. Pool & hot tub seemed to be clean. They did allow us to check in at about 1pm & front desk staff smiled a lot but not talkative

The property needs update and staff need more training. When you ask anything never got proper answer always going to check into it. Then never got a reply. Then they charge stuff on my credit card I did not tell them to. I got a refund but had to fightbto get it. They would just say you have tobtalk to the manger and did not know when they would be there.

I liked the convience and the hospitality. The overall cleanliness and the comfort . I would have liked shuttle service to shopping and appointments as well as to and from the bus station. Very good accomodations and service.

A very tired looking property and the room needs an upgrade. The popcorn ceiling is broken/missing near the heating/AC unit. The door know left a hole in the wall. There was mold in the shower stall. The beds are not terrible but not the most comfortable, mattresses seem pretty old. And worst of all, the tub wouldn't drain. So yuck to stand in your own dirty bath water getting higher and higher around your ankles. The lady at the front desk was friendly and that's about it for positives.

The room itself and the food were pretty good! One major downside was definitely the fact there was a very small window, and the curtain covering the other half of the wall was covered in stains. However, when we went back to our run late afternoon. There was no bedding on our beds after room service had left. They also took our shower curtain. Normally this wouldn’t be a big deal. However, it took them almost 45 minutes and three different phone calls to remind them that we still needed a shower curtain and we were almost late to our reservation elsewhere. Other than that the hotel was great.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Clean and quiet! The only drawback on our room was a lump in the cement flooring near the bathroom - a disguised tripping hazard got me every time😳

We were givin 4 very flat pillows. We went down at 6 ish to get more and they refused. No housekeeping. No pillows or blankets in the closet

He spent significant time assisting me, so I was able to have internet access on my laptop during my time at Hampton Inn Portland Airport.
