Small cottage style hotel rooms, clean and simple. Rooms are located on the perimeter of the property, surrounding a nice garden in the middle. Almost tranquil. Complementary Breakfast is simple, bread, cereal, eggs, etc. The only issue is the property right next to the 101 highway ( a busy highway ) I don't notice any huge issue with traffic noises but I wasn't in the room during the day either. Had a few supermarket near by. I have no problem staying here again.

Not acceptable for business travel. very spotty wifi, no fitness room, pool out of order. coffee from last guest still in machine. water bottles opened.

Stayed here at night while exploring Marin Headlands and Point Reyes. It was a bit of a drive to Point Reyes, but a beautiful one! Was disappointed that the refrigerator didn’t work. It could use a bit of tlc , but was comfortable and clean. Unknowingly wasted food I purchased and placed in it.

The bed in the room we stayed, we kept bumping into due to it was too close to wall. Otherwise room was okay. The parking area where the was as well was crowded the first night, might help if there was assigned parking spots for each room and all others park in different areas of the parking lot.

We booked a suite at this hotel. We checked into our room at 12:30 AM. I pulled out the blanket to setup the sofa bed for my kids and out ran a small mouse. It ran under the couch. My kids got so scared. They both jumped onto the couch and was too afraid to move after that. We called the front desk but they didn’t have another room that would fit all of us. It was the worse experience I have ever encountered. We had to call around for another hotel at 1AM looking for a place to sleep.

Booked garden view room, ended up getting 'freeway view' one - very loud. Unfortunately I checked in late and didn't figure that out...Breakfast was very simple, I would suggest finding better place in the area. Inside it was great otherwise

The property is a work in progress. It has a lot of potential. The only thing i didn't like was the wall units for AC and heat. Very noisy. The room is laid out well. Clever lighting great TV. But a work in progress. I will stay here again

Dingy dirty next to freeway. Do NOT be fooled by the photos. Only lukewarm water in the shower. Gross place. Is an old auto inn. Picked it as thought oh easy peasy, breakfast on site, a hot tub etc...all yuck. Just wanted to get out of there.

We have often stayed near Novato when we visit family. This was our first stay at Inn Marin, since it has often been more expensive than other options. Now we wish we had stayed at another hotel. The grounds are lovely with lots of open air seating options and the pool. We were very disappointed with the room, though. It looked like it hadn't been updated in years. The shower head leaked, the vent in the bathroom didn't work so the room would get very steamed up. The coffee machine looked yucky, there were splatters of liquid on the walls, and the TV didn't work. I called at reception a couple of time to report the TV but didn't find anyone there. The parking was at the back of the room, you entered by a back door. The back of the building looked really shabby and run down. We heard that the hotel has recently changed hands and is planning to upgrade the whole place with at new restaurant as well. We'll give it another go but it really needs a update.

This is an older motel adjacent to the highway which is heard at night. There have been efforts at updating but there is a long way to go. The rooms are dark, more lighting needed, the windows do not open but with two doors, a breeze was refreshing. The remodel of the bar & restaurant will be a big bonus!

I really loved this hotel. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Would have only been better if the restaurant and bar was open, and if the mattress was softer. Would absolutely go back!

Lost signal for Dish TV as often happens with satellite which is why it is unfavorable for a hotel. Not having tv is literally enough to make me change hotels or never book again.

The rooms were good, comfortable beds, large TVs with small bathrooms. The center courtyard area is beautiful and relaxing and we loved it. The restaurant and bar were closed for renovations, which was disappointing since we would have utilized them if available. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will return again.

The hotel room and grounds were nice. Easy parking and clean room. Where they can improve is curtain blinds because the light comes in. The blinds didnt gonall the way down so there was a 2 inch gao where you ciuld see inside the room. Our room smelled very strong like Marijuana, nkt sure if from the previous people. We have to turn on the air and leave the room for an hour with to little kids from 9 30 pm when we arrived until 10 30 pm. Suggest staff would put us in a different room until that smell was gone.

Hotel definitely needs work and looks like they are remodeling and updating. However great family fun and dog friendly! Kids had a blast in the pool and lawn area with games hammocks and swings. Parents relaxed under the shade in the seating areas and fire pits. Excellent service👍😁
