We had a great experience. We had a suite in the Court House. Very nice layout, plenty of room and very clean. The king size bed was particularly comfortable.

We loved our little weekend getaway with Faraway!

Wonderful hotel located in the heart of town. Fo the most part the staff was wonderful (one of the front desk I could do without).

We were so excited to see the new changes after being taken over from the Kelley House(which we loved and miss) but found the Faraway extremely underwhelming for the overinflated nightly rate of $1400+ per night…higher than the Harbor View rates!! There is no in room mini fridge, coffee station, robe, or slippers provided. The shower looks like it belongs in a motel…or gym bathroom, it’s just an open alcove with a curtain rod/shower curtain. There is limited drawer storage, and the clothing rod in the closet is literally only 4ft above the floor so your clothes are pooling on the floor. There is a $50 bike rental fee…bikes are complimentary at the Harbor View. The decor is mediocre at best, and the room did not appear to have been vacuumed prior to our checking into it. We inquired about potentially checking out early, and were informed there is a no cancellation policy and we would would be charged the full rate. The front desk clerk did offer to ask the manager for the possibility of providing a credit for a future stay…. No Thank you!! The pool and cabana area are lovely and beautifully designed and the Pelican is a chic outdoor restaurant/bar however this is a 3 star hotel at best commanding 5 star rates. This is not in the same league as the Harbor View, they need to lower their price point accordingly or they won’t be in business in Edgartown for long.

Beautifully done hotel. Absolutely stunning decor! The rooms are modern and spacious. Love the height of the ceilings. The lobby is cozy, bright, and warm. Great amenities too. Most of the staff were AMAZING. The only reason I wouldn’t come back was because my family did not appreciate manager Rebecca (with the curly hair) questioning if we were guests of the hotel after she walked into the pool/gym area and saw us sitting in one of the cabanas. We were the only ones questioned while there were a few other families there. It was our last day and we (my parents and I) didn’t get to chill by the pool the few days prior because we were running around the island as well as visiting Nantucket, so I figured we can sit down, chat, and relax before checking out. The pool attendant was super lovely and then Rebecca came in. She pulled the pool attendant to the side, a few feet away from us, and asked her about us. The pool attendant came straight to us afterwards and asked “are you guests of the hotel” I said yes. She then asked for the room # which I gave. Then asked questions about our schedule and whether or not we were planning to come back to the pool (maybe because guests might and trespassers won’t?) The pool attendant was still lovely throughout, & she directly reported everything to Rebecca, who then left. We felt uncomfortable so we went to our room and waited there until checkout. I watched other guests arrive (some in swimwear, some not) & not get questioned. Disappointing

Lovely coastal property in a New England fishing village setting.

Very nice, we got there right after a storm so conditions were the best. Hotel was in perfect location. I would give it 5 stars, but no air conditioning and no elevator bumps it down but overall very nice

Really enjoyed the location relative to the shops and restaurants in Edgartown, and the staff was delightful and fun, especially Cat !!

Beautiful place within the heart of downtown. Walkable with plenty of fine dining options. Unfortunately the building is old and the walls are paper thin. Gets very loud at night from the other guests.

Perfect location in the heart of walkable Edgartown. Very comfy bed, nice shower, large room.

The staff were very friendly and help the customer in finding option and solution for what they look for. It sits in middle of city with very nice surrounding. Interior was beautiful with lots of painting in hallway and room. The room was clean with enough space to move around.

Property looks tired esp for the rates they charge. NO ELEVATORS. This should be made very clear on their website/or at booking - even rooms on 2nd floor are challenging for seniors and with luggage/parcels. Staff is helpful but this is 2021 and an elevator shouldn’t be an amenity!!

Enjoyable location and overall building/restaurants.

We had a marvelous time at The Kelley House!
The Pros!
Exceptionally clean, the grounds and our room were in pristine condtion! Modern and beautiful facility!
The bed was incredibly comfortable! I wish I could have taken it home with me!
Staff was very friendly and helpful each time we reached out for recommendations or directions.
Quiet! For being in the heart of downtown, our room was very quiet!
Cons-
The only thing I wished the hotel offered was some type of continental breakfast or coffee bar in the morning. While there are plenty of breakfast options within the area, it would have been nice to just grab a coffee in the lobby to sit on their beautiful patio to enjoy without having to leave the grounds.

Great property in the heart of Edgartown. Easily walkable to restaurants and beach. The property was recently updated and very clean including the pool area. I noticed a latch on a gate to the pool was broken off during our stay and was nicely repaired within a day, a good sign they are responsive. A few minor things that would be good are USB plugs next to the bed, a full length mirror somewhere in the room, and a couple chairs and a small table for the deck.

The hotel is cute. Yet for $800 a night we have to request our room to be made daily. And one day they missed. Not what you would expect for this price. Lots of kids behaving noisily. Twice he had to call the front desk to quiet neighbours down. In one instance our next door neighbour try to break in through the door (they were adjoining rooms). He was obviously drunk. Staff is great, but everything is bare bones. I was charged for stuff i really did order and it took a while to get the money back, which is annoying. Most rooms don't have views, so don't be fooled by pics on hotels.com. The location is lovely and parking was relatively easy. For that money we will not come back but trade up to the Harborview Hotel o the Charlotte in.

Great stay at the Kelley house - only improvement would be to add a hot tub…

Amazing!!! The rooms were beautiful and very clean! The beds were super comfortable! The pool and other amenities were all were all clean and well cared for! The staff was incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and helpful, and even gave us toys for our children to play with (and keep!) for the pool and beach! The location is perfect, and it was fun to be in the middle of Edgartown! The Kelley House is our new favorite place to stay, and we can't wait to go back!

One night stay with no complaints...under new management ....honored our reservation. Advice dont stay Sundays as most restaurants are closed in Edgartown, including Kelley Inn's. Wish we'd known

Nice room, asked for a tub, still got shower stall, picked this hotel because of the pool only to find out that it wasn't open during our stay, but the staff was great and friendly. The room was clean. the bed was okay, but not great. Nice body wash.

The hotel is very convenient to stores and restaurants in Edgartown. Walkable to Chappy Ferry. Suggest car for trips to other towns in Martha’s Vineyard. Complimentary bikes perfect. The staff was very helpful with suggestions and directions. Would stay there again.

We were canceled last minute by another hotel on island. The GM of this property called to offer a room matching the rate for the other hotel, and was very professional. On arrival we were greeted by a very nice young man at the front desk, who was helpful throughout the process. Bring right downtown was great, and we plan to visit again!

Would like to give five stars for the location, cleanliness, and service... but the walls are paper thin. You can hear the people in the next room going to the bathroom and their every conversation.
