Not the greatest place. Not the worst. Room was okayish, but not super comfy. Maid service forgot to clean room and bring fresh linens the day we requested service. We stayed three nights and only ask for one day of cleaning and new linens. Front desk apologized but didn’t offer any help. I had to ask for towels. Killed spiders in room everyday. Breakfast isn’t worth it. Noisy and thin walls. Really a two star hotel with two star service.

I booked here because of the relatively low price for the area. But it far exceeded my expectations. Nice breakfast, easy parking steps from the room. Quiet.

It was a good stay. My wife and I enjoyed it alot. The room was pretty warm though, so the first night was a pretty uncomfortable, until we figured out the AC. Then it was very comfortable. It was great to have a convenience store right across the street. And there are plenty of good restaurants in the area, walking distance or a few mins drive. Then there was the TV. The hotel has direct TV. We flipped through the channels, but it did seem like all the channels were available. When we asked the front desk, they didn't really know what channels were available. And told us that we should get all the paid channels. We'll we worked with what we had available. Overall, it was a really good experience.

Everything was great. Felt like a safe acre, better than the others on the same roam. Maybe cause it was a little hidden. Zen garden outside our window. Peaceful. Would have given 5 stars, breakfast was alright enough. Standard hot breakfast. Small breakfast area but then again, less rooms. Nice overall. I would say 4.5 stars😊

It is a motel, with your car parked opposite your room door. The curtains (sheers/blackout) cannot be parted. The bathroom (toilet, tub/shower) is tight. Breakfast is good. But it is quiet and acceptable for a short stay.

I loved how spacious our room was! We also had access to a patio area. A walgreens was directly across the street for any forgotten supplies & the bus stop was across the other street for easy & affordable transportation anywhere. My son & I were there for a Stanford trip & learned the local vta transit system connected to the free Marguerite shuttle at Stanford. Breakfast was sub par - hot oatmeal, scrambled eggs & sausage links, nothing out of the ordinary. But no worries as Stanford hosted a great continental breakfast for us.

I was here for 4 weeks. My sister lives .5 mile up the road. I flew in from SC to care for her. I slept great every night. Instant hotwater. Eggs, sausage, tater tots, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, pastries, toast ,raisin bran, cherrios, frosted flacks, coffee everyday from 6:30 am to 9:30. Excellent customer service.

Quaint older model that has received some modern updates. Rooms are small but comfortable. Their breakfast in the morning is surprisingly full featured. There are more rooms available than you would expect looking at the front facade, as the property extends back some ways. Staff is friendly and helpful, though somewhat limited overnight.

Really nice makeover of an older motel. Safe and quiet location. Stayed night before and night after surgery at Stanford and the Zen hotel was perfect for this. Hot breakfast with lots of choices. Reasonable cost for this market. We would definitely come back.

Good location in Palo Alto, close enough to pretty much everything. Comfortable bed and nice towels. Includes breakfast which was okay, nothing that special. Would stay here again.

It’s a nice place to stay. Free breakfasts. Not too many places to eat near the hotel, but it’s close to Stanford.

The room had a leaking water sink it soaked the carpet in the sink area there solution was to lay towels down that were soaked very unpleasant stay I asked for a nice room but it was mediocre at best I would not attempt here again

We were only at the Zen Hotel for about ten hours overnight, all spent in darkness. It's a really nice place, and we hope we'll have another opportunity to stay longer. The room was large and well-furnished and nicely laid out. We even had a small private balcony, which was a pleasant surprise.

Smaller older hotel yet their best part is the staff is very friendly, accommodating, & extremely helpful. Great service. Best full breakfast I’ve ever had at any hotel I’ve even stayed at & everything done well with care & fresh! My coffee addict husband, loved their locally roasted coffee too. We stayed there for 3 separate times now for my husband’s medical treatments at Stanford Hospital conveniently located with being 13 minutes drive away. I’m disabled in wheelchair was in king bed accessible room yet found toilet to be low & Tub has chair to be put in it. I enjoyed that every room had a bamboo plant in it Sheets were soft & bed was comfortable.

This was such a cozy place. Bed was super comfy. Staff was very welcoming and kind. Walgreens right across the street. We really enjoyed our stay here.

It is very close to Stanford Medical Office, so it was very convenient for us because my husband had an appointment there. It was a very nice hotel, rooms were very clean & staff was very helpful and friendly.
