The room itself appeared clean but, the sheets had some kind of stain and the beds were missing comforters. One of the mirrors appeared to have a bullet hole or something in it. The TV didn’t work either. The front desk clerk said he would call when maintenance was available but, I didn’t get a call. I didn’t see any ability to recycle items.

We arrived close to midnight and were told the only room they had available for us had a broken TV. At first they offer a discount but couldn't provide it because we had booked through Expedia. Turns out the broken TV was to be the least of our worries. The door nob didn't fit the door and was filled part way in by a wash cloth, the door won't stay closed aside from the latch which was barely attached and left the door open a couple inches. In a very unsafe area. The built in seat had a bullet hole in it. The tub faucet won't turn off and the water was running the entire time. The mattress was hard as a rock with busted springs that pressed into our backs all night. We were offered free late check out at noon, in lieu of the discount they were unable to provide, which the clerk said he would make a note about, but didn't, so housekeeping knocked on our door at 9 and then 3 more times until we left shortly after 11. I believe the housekeeping staff had cleaned our room as well as they could with what they had to work with - stained sheets, stained towels, damaged tub finish, damaged and dingey everything. This room should not be rented out at all, much less at the way overinflated price it is listed at.

I don’t know what happened from my last visit to this current one. The guy who checked me in could have cared less that I was there. Seemed very distracted, even forgot to give me my credit card back. Didn’t explain anything, I had to ask questions as to why he was doing certain things. “How do you want to pay the $100?” What is that? What is it for? I already paid. I was already irritated before I even got to my room. Than I get to the room, which was very clean, it’s just the towel rack was coming off the wall, the toilet seat was extremely loose. I was just a little let down, the whole afternoon, night and morning it was like Indy 500, people slamming doors, running down the halls on both floors, yelling and screaming unneccasarily, and these were adults, not kids. My last visit was amazing which is why I came back but after this one, yeah, I think I’m gonna have to pass.

I'm trying to get a refund back for Sunday the night I booked the room I did not stay Sunday I stayed Saturday but my car was charged on Sunday and Saturday so the lady at the counter told me that I need to get hold of Expedia to get my refund for Sunday night the night I did not stay thank you I would appreciate help

The only thing I liked was that the room was renovated. But only somewhat. It was odd people were hanging around outside the hotel like if it were a 7/11, the tub felt like it was sinking, the bed was stiffer than cardboard same with the pillows, someone with a pet also left fleas behind and possibly blood stains on the sheets. Never coming back and neither should anyone come stay here.

Nobody at front desk upon arrival. Sign on front door said “ out to lunch” so we left to another Motel.

Front desk did their best when we checked in, but when we checked out i told the gentleman that was there in the morning hey all this is wrong with the room
Stairs to get to room you have to go over broken stair case, light fixture fell of during night, main door does not close right, exhaust fan was hanging, bathtub dips and caulking is gaped, towels are stale, and all he said was wow I'll mark it down and put on list to fix 😮
Realize we just needed a place to sleep after graduation for my son at University of Merced but dammm...

Bugs in the room, phone wasn’t even working and broken. Found hairs on/in the beds that were suppose to be clean. Curtains were broken, loud neighbors that were living in the hotel. Made me very uncomfortable for being there with my children.

Bad experience there the hotel so not clean, we slept there first night woke up with cockroaches in the bed. Management so poor there never again staying in motel 6 ever again.

Hotel is not up to standards in the current condition. The hotel is pretty old and worn but they have tried to updated it in an cheap way. This is more than likely the worst hotel stay i've ever had. The staff was semi-helpful and semi-friendly. The staff knows about many of the issues but cannot change anything so some responses come off as unempathetic.
There was no working wifi, the first room i was given had a roach in it. The second room didnt have a phone or fridge. Also some of their locks need to use double keys to get into the room. My second room had broken locks for the bathroom and the main door had a gap which allowed cold air to get in.
I dont believe I will get my security deposit back without having to call corporate, but will wait and see what happens after about a week.

Everyone was really nice and helpful. The attitude was amazing, feels nice to come from a long trip to a cozy and sweet environment. The area felt safe and homey. Clean and smelled great! Staff where great.

We came back hoping to have a nice stay, as we had at the same hotel previously.
We had checked out that very morning. We expected to be in another city staying in our RV, but at the last moment, those plans were invalidated by another party refusing us hookups.
We made a new reservation for the same Motel 6 we had just left earlier. The only difference was that we now had our RV with us which needed additional maintenance.
The REAL FUN began when we arrived for check-in. The nice office person we had dealt with all that previous week was "unavailable". There was a male and a female there, instead.
To help identify him, I shall give the apparent ringleader for the night, a nickname. He is Mr "Nose-gay" for obvious reasons should you ever be unfortunate enough to be assisted by him at the office.
There were implications made several times by Mr "Nose-gay", which I considered offensive, but tried to ignore. He and his female co-worker also tried to imply card fraud and non-payment. However, my bank already recorded a debit of $243.04 against my account for the reservation. They just kept digging themselves deeper, and we left after requesting our money refunded.
They claimed to have already processed a refund. I called Hotels.com, to confirm and their support tells me that they called about the refund, and Mr "Nose-gay" and staff did not answer.
We found other suitable lodging and AM SPECIFICALLY DISCOURAGING ANYBODY FROM BOOKING A STAY AT THIS HOTEL,

They had no shampoo soap trash cans and the pillows were not even pillows they were a hole bunch of sheets inside the pillow case. The bathroom door didn’t even work because it was broken and there was no iron or hair dryer. I was supposed to check out in Sunday ended up doing it Saturday morning. Never in my life will I stay there. Last time I was there was about 2 years ago or so maybe more but it was good. When I checked out and told the lady all this she said oh yea we don’t provide none of this because we change owners. At the end of the day it is making the the corporation of motel 6 look bad.

It was the cheapest motel in Merced. The room cleaners are very lazy. We asked them to clean the room while we were away taking care of business. When we got back to the room later that night the room was still dirty. The Room didn't have any refrigerator. There's no ice machine.

Staff is rude and swindled me for $50 on a $150 deposit when they originally quoted $100, they charged me $35 late fee for being 30 min late due to rebooking issues and refused to waive the fee even after paying them for a weeks stay. Every miserable person who works here has a miserable rude condescending attitude and what seems to be a permanent stink face. I don’t get it, like how are you going to be rude and mean and condescending to your guests,to your paying customers ,to people who contribute to your bread and butter ,your paycheck . the paycheck you use to cloth your back, to put a roof over your head ,and food in your stomach. I really don’t get it ,shake my head this place really has a “BUFU” type of attitude. BEWARE!!
