Stayed in a suite. It was great BUT living room was dark and not wonderful. Shower was tired and needed updating. I love this hotel but could do with some updating

Better than I expected! The hotel was very nice and clean. Rooms are upgraded and very spacious. We got the bay view and it did not disappoint. We could see the Golden Gate Bridge from our room. Extremely satisfied with our room. The only thing is that we had to pay for valet overnight parking which is $75 per night plus another fee of $35 a day for daily amenities and a San Francisco and California tourist tax fee. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We are absolutely happy with our experience at the Argonaut. Super conveniently located to all the shops and restaurants at Fisherman’s Wharf. I have a feeling that this hotel might be haunted. My husband and I felt a presence in our hotel room in the middle of the night.

Everything was wonderful with the exception of a few things. The pillows would completely flatten when laid on, there was one nicer pillow in the closet but the others on the bed were awful for us. Even though the bed was super comfy, the pillows took away from a good sleep. Also the shower pressure wasn’t great, but that’s minor for me.

I had been wanting to stay at The Argonaut for a while and I have to say that the wait was worth it. Aside from it being centrally located to shops, restaurants, and the Cable Car that brings you to Downtown, the hotel itself was wonderfully decorated, clean, and a nice place to just be. The workout room is well equipped and the staff is very very friendly and supportive. I look forward to staying there again.

The location is ideal for the wharf and walking the local area. The hotel and its restaurant are superbly maintained. Our room was on the smaller side but everything was carefully curated which made it feel like the perfect amount of space.

At the far end of Fisherman's Wharf near Maritime Museum and Ghirardelli Square, the former warehouse has made a great conversion to a luxury hotel. Its not super lux as it's a bit industrial in feel, but the space is bright and airy and the rooms are big and high quality fittings and linens. Coffee maker in the room and mini bar.

Staff was accommodating and attentive, even allowing an exceptionally early check in, as we had meetings to attend and would be back until quite late in the evening. Definitely will make this a repeat stay location for times SF travel is necessary.

it was a delightful 4 nights stay with our dog. There is a huge patch of grass right beside which our dog loved. Glad we decided to stay here instead of downtown (due to safety concerns). Felt extremely safe here. The property has a doorman. The hotel was clean and welcoming. We loved the wine bar in the hotel. Staff all around including housekeeping was extremely welcoming, and some of the staff even remembered our dog's name. Absolutely wonderful we will be back!

I loved visiting the Argonaut and cannot wait to visit again. The hotel has a beautiful lobby that was nicely decorated for Christmas. Staff is welcoming and friendly. Our room was small but perfect for us because we spent most of our time sightseeing. There are 2 beds with a nightstand in between, a desk with chair and dresser with refrigerator cabinet. The room was clean and nicely decorated with a nautical theme. I picked this hotel because it is a short walk to fisherman’s wharf and Alcatraz. It is also around the corner from the cable cars. Can’t wait to come back to visit!

We had the most wonderful stay at The Argonaut! The staff was very attentive, the room was clean and the bedding and pillows were great. We upgraded to the suite for the last two days so we could gather with family and the suite was AMAZING! The location of the hotel couldn't be any better for views and walkability to the wharf, the maritime museum and Pier 39. The Blue Mermaid was better than we expected! Great for breakfast, lunch and dinner! We'll be staying again for sure.

The conversion of an old warehouse building to a present day hotel was done very well. The nautical theme throughout was also attractive. We were hoping to get a view of the bay and Alcatraz island but instead we got a view of a brick wall.

Warmest welcome ever by hotel staff (especially Mykey)…very pet friendly, discounts for food and drink at hotel restaurant for hotel guests, welcome gifts and discount for pets, very spacious comfortable rooms, reasonable food and drink menu, room service, all fantastic. Note that the hotel is in a touristy part of town—conveniently walkable to lots of things, but this also means it’s a little louder and brighter at night than other areas of SF. Appreciated the large tub, bath bombs, slippers and robes—though one of our robes was stained. Otherwise everything was impecable and we and the pup thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

The showers are so bad! It’s a trickle and the toilets do not flush well. Super convenient and wonderful location, but entire plumbing system needs to be upgraded.
