Cosy with garden and pool. Walking distance to some nice bars and restaurants.
Not too much in terms of cafes etc around, mostly the touristy Pelorinho. The south of the city is a bit less run down.

Location. Cleanliness. Excellent breakfast. Easy access to attractions. Friendly and welcoming. Lovely garden and pool area. A real oasis.
Entrance in a steep hill - might be difficult for guests with any mobility challenges.

Everyone made us feel so welcome - very special thanks to Claudio who explained and shared lots of amazing tips and to Gabriella for bookings. The room was very clean and pretty. Good breakfasts. Loved the towel set up for the pool and the garden area. The location is fantastic - you can walk everywhere. Felt very safe too.
Nothing - I’d thoroughly recommend staying at Pousada da Manguera - beats a 5 star hotel as so personal

Nice view to old city
Little pool to refresh
Nice breakfast served outside with nice fruit assortment
Our triple room was very small with the window opening on a staircase half painted with detergents products stored; the beds were small, 80cm wide ( seems they divided a classic double bed) .
Breakfast is until 10 am and at 10:01 the staff starts removing every thing from the buffet, even on Sunday.
The location is very close to the pelourinho but the street itself is not very glorious , we walked very fast at night ….
