Super friendly and helpful staff made for a nice first impression and easy check-in. I liked the look of the lounge area in the lobby and the terrace outside. The room was comfortable and equipped with everything I needed. The hotel is about a 15 minutes walk to the nearest train station, and tram stops plus a Villo rental bike station about 5-10 minutes away, so even if you're outside the very center of the city everything is still accessible. Overall, this was ideal for my weekend stay while I had events planned around the area of Vorst!
The shower did run warm, but sometimes took a little while to get there. Some cabinets could use a refresh/touch-up around the handles. The breakfast was good, but some hot options (perhaps on-order) would make it better.

… the hotel is clean and tidy with no luxury
The neighborhood; for someone who is expecting something that relates to how the hotel looks, the surroundings are middle to middle-low class, something to consider if you want to ride public transportation and be outside in the evening.

Location was further away from the centre than we realised. The surrounding area seemed to be in a decline

The property was close to the climbing church we wanted to visit. It had comfortable bed and TV, it was clean, we easily found parking on Saturday.
The room was way too hot, 30+ degrees when we arrived. It was warmer inside than outside, but the ventilator and small window were just not enough to cool it down. It would really help to install airco.
Breakfast was delicious but we found the eating room too small. There is also space for improvement in cleaning tables after breakfast. For example, all remaining food was thrown on a table and left, while plates were taken. This is not appetizing to watch for other guests plus you can’t use such a table. Cleaning by using some tray could be a good hygienic solution.
