This hotel was beautiful! loved the breakfast & wine and cheese times. Very walkable, in a great location! Room was cute and a nice size.

even though we booked this hotel it was not available and you did nothing to make it right. we had to stay further away than we planned because of hotels.com

The hotel was really well located for walkability…proximal to restaurants, coffee shops, the Battery, the Market…it was all lovely! The beds were comfortable and the room was lovely. The patio outside our door was a wonderful spot to read or to sip on wine in the sunshine. The complimentary breakfast and the daily wine and cheese reception was a real bonus! The check in experience was great and the staff on the desk and all others were helpful and pleasant! The only negative would be the water pressure. It was little more than a trickle in the shower, so it was a little tough to rinse shampoo out of the hair. But otherwise, we had a wonderful and relaxing stay!! Thank you!

Excellent location. Comfortable beds. Updated bath. Old furniture in room. Dark.

Friendly staff! I arrived after happy hour but was offered a glass of wine. It was very welcome after a long day of travel. I also received a room upgrade! Great breakfast in the lovely outdoor patio area - very nice way to start the day. Helpful staff called a taxi for me.

I would definitely stay again. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, walkable to everything. The room was comfortable and quiet. A good continental breakfast was served each morning and I enjoyed breakfast in the courtyard among beautiful surroundings. They have a wine and cheese hour at 5pm with good snacks, and cookies at 8pm. The bed was comfortable, the rooms are cleaned daily. My only slightly negative surprise (maybe I should have researched better) is that if you are driving, if you want to self park, the parking space is a few blocks away. The city was so walkable, I did not end up using my car anyway, and it is easy to park in front to load an unload. And the car was safe. I attached a picture of the courtyard and of the wine and cheese provisions.

Perfect location for a 2 day stop to see Charleston. Rooms are older, but bathroom was remodeled. Very high beds. Linens seemed quite worn. Continental breakfast and happy hour were bonuses. The courtyard was nice to sit in when it wasn’t raining. Only complaint is that there must be something emitting a very strong perfume in the area where you check in and food is served.

I had an excellent stay at the Inn. Everything was more than I expected and the location, location, location (as realtors say) could not have been better. It is ideally located within walking distance of most everything. I parked the car and never used it until I was leaving. Everything is so accessible. You could pay more at Charleston Place next door or Planter’s Inn across the street, but all you’d do was spend more money….& pay a lot for breakfast. Meeting Street offers quite a nice continental and also serves wine & cheese in the afternoon….complimentary! I really don’t think you could find a better value downtown. Honestly….value for price can’t be beat. And don’t miss the courtyard. Sitting outside for breakfast or that cocktail/glass of wine is a real treat….just continues the hospitality offered by the staff. Everyone I encountered for the 5 days was courteous & friendly. I am so glad I picked the Meeting Street Inn for my stay and I would/will definitely book it again when I return to the City……which I will, for the food (which is a whole nother review)
Thank You, all of you at the Inn, for such a welcoming/comfortable stay in (my new favorite) Charleston, South Carolina

Staff excellent. Comfort good. Location is absolutely ideal!
I did not get the room, I chose on the website of Hotel.com, you know the canopy bed and it even show a sofa. Instead, I got traditional or standard room nothing fancy, but absolutely clean n comfortable. Although, when I mentioned this to the staff, they Tried to accommodate
But since we were so exhausted from our flight, we decided to keep the room, ( got in before our check in time n instead of waiting for a room). the staff made it up with their amazing service.

The inn is beautiful and the staff was wonderful. The wine and cheese receptions and the continental breakfasts were exceptional.
The room was lovely, but the bed was terribly uncomfortable, mainly because of the springs and instability of the mattress. There were shaving clippings along the back of the bathroom sink, so obviously the bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned. The television was small and the media cabinet doors did not fully open. Overall, the inn is lovely but the mattresses need rethinking and housekeeping needs to be thorough.

Beautiful place with breakfast, happy hour and milk and cookies before bed. Parking is paid but valet is $40 a night. Worth it. Walkable to everything and wonderful restaurants abound.

Our first visit to Charleston and the Meeting Inn is a perfect location for walking to points of interest. I did not take note that parking was "off site" so opted to valet (which is expensive) so we wouldn't have to walk back the couple of blocks to the hotel.

The wine and cheese hour was an unexpected pleasure and greatly added to our Charleston experience
Southern hospitality for sure

Very nice queen room, comfortable bed, clean and bright bath. Nice neighborhood, enjoyed walking on Meeting and King streets. Abundant breakfast and wine/cheese. Compared with other properties, very good value, and no complaints.

Adorable hotel, staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Charming room, very clean and comfy. The free breakfast, wine and cheese hour and cookies and milk at night were such a nice touch and a nice way to meet other guests and hear about their adventures. Would definitely stay again. Location was perfect as well

Wonderful stay right in the heart of Charleston! Friendly staff, great room, breakfast and evening libations!

the staff was very nice and gracious but the breakfast was very fair... and should be improved with pancakes since it is so charleston... and yogurt... basic breakfast... but the bedroom was convenient and the courtyard charming

We had so much fun staying here! Not only was it conveniently located to all the downtown stuff and right across the street from Charleston Market, the staff were genuinely kind and the breakfast was hearty.
We super enjoyed getting to chat with Darren and the breakfast staff (I wish I could remember her name!) even offered to brew me a fresh pot of decaf! We will look here first when we visit Charleston again.
The free parking a few blocks away and the quiet and beautiful courtyard were some additional perks.

The hotel is right across from the City Market and in the middle of top-rated restaurants. It's walkable from most of the places-to-visit - Nathaniel Russell House, White Point Garden, Joe Riley Waterfront Park, SC Aquarium, Rainbow Row, Liberty Square, etc.
Rooms are big, has character, very clean.
The courtyard is charming.
Breakfast was minimal, but was adequate for us. We missed the wine & cheese hour, but the hot chocolate and cookies were awesome at the end of the day!
Staff were cordial and helpful.
Parking is 25$/day and the lot is 2-3mins down the street. It wasn't an issue for us, but could be for other people.
Definitely recommend this place!!

Great central location. Everything else is lackluster in general.

The employees were amazing, and I appreciated happy hour, and continental breakfast. Room was clean and charming. Would have liked a coffee maker in the room, and a bag for my laundry. I appreciated the 12 noon checkout time, and took advantage of the car park valet service because parking was otherwise a couple of blocks away. Great neighborhood and I would recommend this hotel to others.

Very affordable price for a location so close to the main attraction. The quality of all their products was very high and the ambience was well suited for Charleston. We really appreciated the wine & hot chocolate sessions. Breakfast looked very simple yet the food quality was really good. Meeting Inn knows what is good class!! Will definately be back.

A more traditional hotel with historical background and atmosphere. Beautiful gardens and sitting areas outside ground floor rooms and breakfast area. Continental breakfast provided and wine, cheese and fruit for guests at 5 pm each day. Staff was very pleasant and hotel was centrally located. Would not have rented a car from airport as never used it.

Great place and the staff is amazing. You can walk to just about anywhere. Definitely use the valet parking.
