The views from the hotel and outside the hotel were beautiful. Being located on a peninsula, the Peninsula Hotel offered scenic views as soon as you stepped outside, with my sea view room offering a lovely vista over the bay and the coast path being only minutes away. The bus stops were only a 3 minute walk from the hotel so very convenient if you don't have a car.
The staff were, without exception, friendly, cheerful, helpful, and courteous, the majority being from the Philippines, known for its very hard-working citizens. Having lived in the Philippines, I think the staff appreciated my 4 words of Tagalog!
The pleasant, airy dining area offered plentiful and tasty meals.
As a solo traveller, I felt I was well looked after.
The room was pricey for a solo traveller.

Lunch menu was good. We thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Didn't enjoy the breakfast.
Our son's room was on ground floor. It was too noisy for him to sleep. So he slept in our room. Thank fully we had spare single bed in our room.
