Beautiful big room and the view and info was accurate. It was a wonderful stay. I also made a mistake and the ladies who helped check me in and took my frantic call the night before made the trip wonderful.

Ideal location next to the wharf & boardwalk. Parking was easy and the room was quite spacious. Definitely will be recommending Casablanca On The Beach to friends & family.

Very comfortable stay, clean room / linens and the location is great. There’s some construction going on next door, but didn’t happen on the weekend. So we didn’t have a dog with us, we were super out of place. We had a shared patio and there were a lot of dogs. We like dogs, don’t recommend the shared patio if you don’t care for dogs. We had one cruise into our room lol. Would stay again.

This place was perfect!! You can't beat the location. The room was super spacious. The room was modern with still an older feeling to it. My kids loved this place. You can also bring your pet- next time we will.

An old home/chateau turned into a motel. Really a neat place right next to the beach. Good parking area too, my only complaint was my auto was broken into and a few items taken, nothing major and thankfully no damage. Double check that you lock your doors and nothing of value is left in auto!! The hotel is excellent , would stay again. Great dog area too!

Our stay was fantastic! The location is perfect right across the street from everything! The staff was friendly and helpful. The balcony patios are an amazing perk of staying here, where you can relax and watch the action on the beach and boardwalk right from the hotel patios. The room was big and modern with a very large bathroom. My grandfather and I were very comfortable. My family will be using this hotel for every trip to Santa Cruz in the future.

Casablanca is an older hotel. So we already knew that when we made our reservations. The room was clean. However the fireplace that we paid extra for didn’t work and the balcony door does not lock. The wind blew it open a couple times so we couldn’t leave valuables in room. The cleaning crew left there cleaning equipment on our shared balcony every day, which was a large trash can with mops, cleaning supplemental around it so we couldn’t enjoy the sun on that balcony. Luckily the boardwalk wasn’t open so we didn’t have a huge crowd making noise. However there is a hotel being built next door so if your a late riser it’s best to plan for the weekend. Construction started EARLY! Good location for looking at the beach. However the water is contaminated across from hotel so don’t plan a quick plunge. It was a nice stay regardless. I do think the hotel should get different sheets… poly blend wasn’t comfy. Sheets/ bedding would be a nice upgrade for them to ad especially with fine hotels near by. This hotel was someplace the hubby and I wanted to try and we don’t have regrets but we probably won’t stay again. I like the option of locking my doors, not dealing with a huge trashcan at our front door, having a working fireplace that we paid extra for, I also like having the option for a dip in healing salt water NOT contaminated water…. Also walking to dinner do not be surprised to see human feces on the ground/ sidewalks it’s best to pay attention to the sunset and view of the ocean.

Check in was super friendly and very helpful. The room could have been absolutely amazing but fell short in a few places. There were cookies on the floor and trash behind the nightstand. The toilet paper roll was empty and a new roll opener and just placed on top of the empty roll (like my teenager does, too lazy to swap the new roll onto the holder). And the one and only lamp in the room didn’t work. Maybe the bulb was burnt out but it was late and I didn’t want to chase down maintenance. I also couldn’t inform the front desk the next morning since there was a sign saying no one available until 10:30am. Aside from these things, I would have loved the room.

We always enjoy our stay at Casablanca On The Beach. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and very dog friendly. The rooms are always very clean and comfortable, not to mention the amazing view of the ocean. The hotel is situated perfectly for the most scenic sunrise and sunset.

I have always wanted to stay in one of the 2 hotels that are right across from the beach with the second floor balcony views. We had a great stay it was beautiful. The only issue I had was that I prepaid for the room. When I got there they asked for a credit card on file which I know is a common practice incase there is damage. The part I didn't like was they charged my card $100 dollars when we checked in and held onto it for 5 days after we checked out. Maybe that's a common practice as well but it is not something I have experienced in the past and there was no mention of this additional charge when I booked the room.

Toilet was moving back and forth, not attached to ground? Coffee maker wasn’t clean. Still had a coffee pod inside from previous customer. For the price that we paid, we should’ve had an ocean view. We were in a “cottage” Stairs were just horrible. (Especially for me with bad knees) This room was loud and extremely noisy. Dog run area was by our room and if we opened windows, all we could smell was dog poop. The staff was nice and friendly and the bed was comfortable. Shower was nice but had no water pressure.

Little things reflect that room are not well maintained. For example, the front door only opened with a great deal of effort don’t a warped floor. Although at check in we were told that coffee and pastries would be available in the lobby in the morning, there were no pastries and what was left of weak coffee. The rooms were cold and barely furnished. Although we chose it because of its pet friendly policy, another guest allowed their dog to poop all over the place, and failed to pick it up, leaving quite the mess.

The room had a cracked restroom sink and did not have hot water. Told the maintenance guy and he said, they knew about the sink and that he had to wait for the owner of the property to get back since he preferred to go buy the sink himself.
